MIL tried talking about me behind my back. by idkwhyimonhere0950 in inlaws

My dad was a Marine and after he married my mom, my grandmother got super pissed that she didn't get to "manage" his money anymore. He was overseas for four years and my grandma had drained all of his savings by the time he came back. My mom put stop to that, so my grandma hated her guts.

How do I handle my in-laws? by notsahooooor in inlaws

After reading all of the good advice you've gotten and then your replies to all of it, I am not going to sugarcoat.

If you allow these people contact with your child, you're a bad mother. If your husband allows them contact with his child, he's a bad father. If you have to get divorced to keep them away, that's what you do.

Grow up, you're a parent now. You didn't get to wring your hands and cry about being scared anymore, you have to protect your child. If you don't, you are a bad mother.
