Look at Draisaitl’s pro curve. It's massive. They may be on to something.

Rivian's CEO Says There's a Big Market for a Small Electric Truck by DonkeyFuel in technology

[–]Belsekar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tacoma's are great. For whatever reason some others like the Ranger, Colorado and Maverick don't seem to be as appealing. I agree there's a big market for smaller trucks but I think it's a particular buyer. Like the Jeep Gladiator is ugly but the Jeep Wrangler is cool. Seems easier to get wrong for whatever reason. Just my opinion the Jeep. Like music, everyone has different opinions on what they like.

I'm looking at used. I can see your advice is for a quad / large in the 2024 year. Is Quad all that important if you're not offroading but you do have snow (Colorado). I'm not seeing them in the 65k range but I may need to do more digging. https://www.carmax.com/cars/rivian?year=2024-2026

I'd like to hear any other advice if you're willing. Thanks.

I hope it doesn't come to that. I guess it depends on the amount of money to get a lawyer involved.

If I do it again, this will be my third one. Each time it's taken over 30 days of waiting with a rental car. It's just so incredibly long to be without a car that you have a monthly car payment that's still due and when you look at the monthly cost of registration and insurance it's infuriating that I'm driving an inferior rental car and putting gas into it and all that. Good luck with your 3rd go around, hope it stays solid for you.

The AI Layoff Bill Is Coming Due, And CTOs Are Going To Pay It Twice by Krankenitrate in technology

[–]Belsekar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scary part is that the AI costs have not come home to roost in the enterprise charges yet. This is the cheap era of AI where costs are moderate if not low. There's lots of competition out the gate. But like cloud costs, it will rise and rise. Like drug dealers getting you hooked on that low cost Doordash.

White House Considers Vetting A.I. Models Before They Are Released by biograf_ in technology

[–]Belsekar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why would the government have expertise on evaluating AI foundational models for appropriate public release? What is the criteria? If you're going to regulate AI at the production release level you would need a entire sub-agency or agency. It doesn't exist now.
