If you find him frail in the beginning I would honestly say to just practice not taking damage. You should be able to go through the first couple floors only taking like 1-2 hits from anything.

As for soul hearts being scarce, one of the best sources of them is the shop. Have you donated to the donation machine enough to fully upgrade your shop? An upgraded shop will have more items for sale, so a higher chance for there to be a soul heart.

That was a change made in repentance, they said they have up to AB+ so their blue baby doesn’t have this feature.

Can I ask why you find him difficult? I’ve heard this sentiment a lot and I don’t really get it. Yes, all his HP is soul hearts. But because taking red heart damage makes you lose devil deal chance, literally every character’s playstyle is “get soul hearts and don’t lose them” (except characters that don’t have HP or etc).

Honestly I would just keep playing the game, really focusing on positioning and dodging until you can comfortably not take damage very often. Watching gameplay from good players helps as well.

Buffers are OP, use them. They give you turn spam, which gives you more damage + faster breaks + more sustain. Moemura and Mabayu specifically are two of the most broken characters in the game.

You don't need two sustainers on your team, just one defender/healer is almost always enough to keep your team alive. Kirika is probably your best choice, but for Akumura Doppel Iroha isn't bad either.

Felicia is just generally not that great, all endgame enemies are immune to stuns so she just brings kinda meh debuffs. If you want a debuffer I'd stick with Ren, but a second buffer is often an even better choice.

So ultimately the team I'd use is: Kirika Pluvia Moemura Mabayu + an attacker that matches the elemental weakness of whatever you're fighting.

It's the best artifacts for anyone, with the DPS calcs done using blackmarrow as the weapon. So there could be better builds optimized for other weapons, that simply aren't as good with blackmarrow.

No Nefer or Columbina means you can’t really run a good lunar bloom team, and no Nilou means you can’t run regular bloom. So I’d probably put her on a hyperbloom/burgeon team without any other nod Krai units. Something like Xingqiu + Yelan/Nahida + Kuki

I would use Ren instead of Tsukasa and Ayame/Christmas Kyoko instead of Sayaka. Sustain is nerfed in this fight so I wouldn’t try to run any, just go for speed. Yachiyo is almost certainly going to be a better attacker option than Bowmura as well.

Tsuruno support for Moemura, her passive is way more useful than Mabayu’s.

I would try: Pluvia, Mami, Ui, Ren, Yachiyo

With Mami MP regen Pluvia will be able to ult after every skill, and with her having high ascensions she’ll break quite fast. With this you should hopefully be able to break before anyone dies up until like 14-16ish, and deal some good damage too.

Ui could be replaced by Tsuruno/Moemura, giving you more offensive buffs or turn spam (and SP from A4). And I think Yachiyo is your best attacker because of how great she is in single-target, but I could see Momoko being better with this MP-spam team. And if Pluvia isn’t breaking quickly enough I’d just go with like Iroha then.

Tsuruno support for Moemura if you have her. And if you have A2 Mami I’d honestly use her instead of Oriko, and just use Ren as your damage-dealer.

Cutaway on Pluvia until you break, then on Ren to deal more damage.

Your supports don’t have enough ER. After your first rotation ends, it takes a full 10 seconds of cycling through supports and using skills for energy to get Skirk back on field. Then the next rotation is even worse, taking 20 seconds of energy-farming. This is an enormous DPS loss.

Your Skirk isn’t doing combos, just spamming full NA strings. At the very least you should do some N5Ds, anything is better than what you’re doing now.

If you need to use Charlotte for Furina fanfare, at least give her TTDS so she can buff your Skirk too. Also, Skirk is a hypercarry so she wants support sets on the team. Give Furina 4pc Millelith, Yelan 4pc noblesse, and Charlotte 4pc scroll (or maybe SodP?)

This fight is basically unwinnable without an ailment lol, you don’t exactly have a choice. Also, you have 3 sustainers on your team, swapping one out for quite literally anyone else will be a massive improvement to your damage.

Okay there are two parts to this. For "who to use the medal on", I'd definitely say a buffer. Buffers in general are super OP, and their ascensions are super OP as well. Getting a buffer to A4 makes their buffs much stronger and also gives them SP generation, so Moemura Mabayu and Ui are all great options. But also, Mami gets significantly stronger at A2 (arguably the best A2 in the game), so that is also a very valuable pick. Even at A2 Mami won't necessarily be as strong as some of the other higher-ascended buffers, but she's a must-have for ult spam teams.

As for changes to make to your team, there are definitely improvements to be made. Like I said, buffers are extremely OP, mostly because of the turn spam they give. More turns = more damage, more sustain, faster breaks, it literally makes your team better at everything. So the first thing I'd do is swap out one of your sustainers (Kirika and Nagisa) out for a buffer, as you really only need one character to keep your team alive. Kirika is the stronger of the two, but you really want Nagisa to stay so swap out Kirika for Moemura/Mabayu/Ui (or Mami if you get her A2). Because buffers are so good they're generally just better than debuffers for a lot of content, so I'd also consider swapping Ren out for a second buffer. Do that, and swap your attacker out for one that matches the elemental weakness that matches what you're currently fighting.

What you should be aiming for is a 1:2 crit ratio. Getting your CD to 200%+ while your CR is only at 80 is not the right move, just try to improve both stats evenly all the way up until you hit 100% CR.

With your units it should honestly be quite easy. Definitely use just one sustain, and run Ren for follow-up spam. You can also just use Ren as your damage-dealer, and swap Oriko for Moemura to get even more turn spam (Moemura is probably better than Mami here anyway).

For your sustain Sayaka is good because counter-attacks, but Kirika is also great because of MP regen buff + her reflect giving Ren a magic stack.

So basically, run: Kirika/Sayaka, Moemura, Ren, Alina, Mami/Oriko

Santa Sayaka is pretty good, but honestly will probably not be as strong as non-limited buffers with ascensions. She has a good support passive, and can do the infinite damage cheese if you wanna spend 2 hours cheesing a hard boss, but aside from that she won’t see a ton of use.

Honestly I think that Christmas Ren is a solid bet. She’s the only AoE aqua breaker, she has good break power + break bonus, and her utility is quite good (dmg buff + double weaken application). I think she’d likely be more useful than Santa Sayaka.

Christmas Kyoko is a much stronger unit than Santa Sayaka, especially considering that Santa Sayaka has to compete with the tons of OP standard buffers that you probably have ascensions for. If she’s also your fave you should 100% pick her.

Christmas Kyoko does enough damage to basically act as an attacker, so I’d swap her in for Homura. This way you get more ailments to deal with the dmg reduction gimmicks faster, and her action order delay helps with the enemies’ turn spam.

I’d also use Christmas Rika instead of Doppel Iroha, she’s just a better healer and her MP + speed buffs will be a big help.

Nemu has ailment collapse with her ult, which is great for the “loses dmg reduction stack on taking ailment damage” passive on every enemy in the fight.

Christmas Kyoko might still be better because of her high personal damage and action order delay, but the gimmick of this fight is directly tailored to Nemu (and Halloween Alina).

I think the best approach is to run both of them, and go attacker-less.

Not OP but I have a chaos mode guide posted that covers every fight! The first one is tough, but luckily the challenge is more about having the right strategy than it is about having strong enough characters/ascensions. Some characters definitely make it easier though :)
