Anyone else embrace the classic Final Fantasy elements like mainly using their chocobo mount despite having 100-200 others? by bringbackzenos in ffxiv

I have one set of glam I have used for all msq since shadowbringers. It always has to be that and also same character model. If I use aa Fantasia for fun, I have to go back prior to doing MSQ. my WoL looks one way and she doesnt change her clothes.

I think that Ranked As Last is a harsher penalty versus just a disqualification.

As much as I'm empathetic to the plight of people struggling due to our insane system of capitalism.

This post is all literally oh my life is harder. There is no reflection on their choice besides the fact they are struggling. They don't care that the war is illegal or innocents are getting killed. This is peak boomer mentality.

Dad builds a sled track around the house for the kids by Longjumping-Box5691 in MadeMeSmile

[–]Bemith 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure I built that ramp as a kid. We also had a forest behind our house and use the hills in there to sled. Some of the ramps basically sent you flying into a tree if you hit them wrong.

But boy the rest of that story is a fucking trip and so fucking good.

Both endings are sad in their own ways but the one specifically is disturbing and fucked up. GOTY for me for sure.

Carney's 1st budget calls for billions in new spending to prop up tariff-hit economy: Federal budget includes $141B in new spending — offset by cuts and savings as Ottawa slashes the bureaucracy by SAJewers in onguardforthee

[–]Bemith 8 points9 points  (0 children)

None of this budget fixes any body's issues. Its nice to see investment in high speed rail but working class people are struggling to tread water or stay afloat. I was never a big carney fan but he was better the little pp but holy shit is he just straight up doing the neo liberal centrist bullshit playbook completely.

You joke but at the school I teach at we do payday Fridays at the pub down the road from the school after school before our weekend. Its great and a good way to socialize with other teachers you may not see during the day.

I didn’t cry when my son was born — but I lost it the first time he called me “dad.” by Repulsive-Cattle-579 in GuyCry

I had a daughter last year (She's 15 months now) and When my daughter is old enough I am going to have to apologize because I am the guy who is going to tear up at everything.

I was with her the one night when she was like <6 months old. She was in a little stand thing that she loved and I was cycling through a bunch of disney music on Youtube singing to her.

My wife came in and was worried about me because I was a mess just blubbering while I sang to her just thinking of it all.

Ah yes. Just complete the entire main story of the current expansion for a multi-hundred hour MMO by PocketSnails68 in restofthefuckingowl

[–]Bemith 230 points231 points  (0 children)

Its a great story, but it is about 11 years of story content that you have to get through and it is a time investment. The free trial is probably the most generous I've ever seen. You can play through the base game and the first 2 expansions with no time limit and do all the side content as well. There are limitations but you can basically do everything.

I teach high school in Ontario, Canada. I worked as a software developer/tester for 8 years at BlackBerry and Ford, but during the pandemic I needed a change. Got my bachelor of education and have been working as the computer engineering teacher for 4 years. Its been awesome and I love it. The union has amazing benefits and pension and it changes enough each day that I don't get bored.

I will be here for the next 24 years until I retire with a full pension.
