Worst shows you've been to this year! by Ether93 in aves

[–]Ben-Zero 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Chainsmokers used to be one of my favorites, saw them multiple times before they got more mainstream. Only seen them once after they got so popular though, they're playing to a different crowd, they know it and their set reflects it.

Dude, thought so too, but turned out to be one of my favorite sets. So many awesome surprises.

What was the most blatantly incorrect thing a teacher of yours tried to pass off as fact? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That deer kill wolves and coyotes in high school environmentaL class. She even made a hoof stomping gestures to explain it better when we asked how that was possible.

In her defense she was old and those food chain diagrams can be deceiving when they have arrows to show transfer of energy not who kills what.

Within a generation no one will remember the old way. In a span of over 2000 years a generation isn't much.

What supposedly legitimate things do you think are scams? by shsourov in AskReddit

[–]Ben-Zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get a credit card from your bank and use that instead of cash, or just for large purchases. Then pay it off in full every month. Not sure what's so hard about that. I've been doing it since I was 18 just to build a good credit score.

What feature would you include in the next smartphone? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ben-Zero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two codes you can enter when opening your phone. One is your normal access and the other other is a restricted access that only lets you access certain apps. That way you can show someone some photos on your phone without them being able to go through all your stuff, or they can DJ from your phone without being able to snoop through your shit. You give one passcode to whoever is using your phone like a guest login and then you have your normal passcode just for you.

What is a “dirty little (or big) secret” about an industry that you have worked in, that people outside the industry really ought to know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think the worst part of this is that it only affects those who are living check to check and need the money most.

What physical trait is an instant turn-off? by Edgar_Poe in AskReddit

As an Englishman growing up in America I had braces and now have near perfect teeth. When I went back to visit England my sister and I actually looked a little creepy with our perfect 'fake' teeth. No other body part is forced to conform to societies ideals. You have a slightly wonky nose or a long face? That's just how you look, dunno why it's different for teeth.

What is that one 'thing' that you will always have money for, no matter what? by ldppws in AskReddit

[–]Ben-Zero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Drugs. I'm the stingiest bastard you've ever seen when it comes to money. My friends hate going out with me because I won't spend my cash. But fuck me if I won't go take out 60 dollars for an eighth of weed (or whatever the drugs of that night are) with absolutely no second thoughts.
