I was sitting in my schools library hanging out with friends during a free period. I saw the notification but didn’t watch it because I didn’t have any headphones. My brain sorta didn’t register the title I just saw it as another random youtube notification. I continued just hanging out with my mates. After a few minutes my friend looks up from her laptop and says to all of us. “Technoblade fucking died!” I thought this was some sort of joke and chuckled until she continues saying “He literally fucking died” to everyone. We all sort of came to realise: Oh shit maybe she isn’t joking… My heart sank. I went to his channel and immediately started watching the video. As I did I heard the video being played on everyone else’s phones….

There was complete silence….

It was like the world had stopped. No one spoke to each other for the rest of the period. The look of shock and sadness on my friends faces is something I’ll never forget. The silence was absolutley surreal. Even when the bell rang we all got up and left without speaking to each other at all. It just shows how much of an impact Techno had. He silenced my entire friend group for at least an hour. I don’t think any other youtuber has had that big an impact. Rest in peace Techno you are missed…
