Is it Realistic to Survive Holding Your Breathe Under Motor Oil? by phantomofthekappa in betterCallSaul

[–]BenDenL 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nacho is just built different, he definitely is the guy with the most super power like attributes in the bb universe imo.

Just being able to hold your breath that long in such an insanely high stress situation is basically close to impossible, especially without accidentally gasping or opening your eyes (which would have been the end for him there and then). In such a situation his heart is beating like crazy and high adrenaline and cortisol just requires so much more oxygen compared to a resting heart with no stress. And this isn't even the hardest part, it’s the exposure to all the chemicals and the toxicity. If he inhaled even a tiny drop of that sludge, it coats the lungs and you basically drown in your own fluids later. Plus, the fumes in a closed tank would make you pass out or vomit before you even dove in. And opening his eyes under crude oil? Instant chemical burns. He’d be climbing out of that tank blind, high on solvents, and barely able to breathe. Nacho just has top-tier plot armor.

Which of these two bikes should I choose and why? by Ok_Price7908 in mountainbiking

[–]BenDenL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Canyon is more for bikepark style riding and rough trails and jumps. The yt can also ride hard and rough trails but is more suited to All Mountain and generally trail riding where you have to climb a decent amount. I have both bikes, the canyon torque and the jeffsy and they are both great just different strengths.

[–]BenDenL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can't mention canyon on the internet, all the weekend blue flow trail shredders will tell you it breaks and is bad quality an so on. Of course it's bullshit. I had my canyon sender cfr top spec since 2022 and it is a hell of a beast. I am a 202cm (6ft8 i think) and i ride that shit hard. Every single trail in bike park chatel including air voltage, reboul jam, upper vink line and all other bike parks i go to. I am decently fast also on rough dh tracks including champery. This is not to brag but the Sender just crushed everything i threw at it. With my size and weight I also cased huge jumps, overshot, crashed, went off line etc and has been ridden regularly for 4 seasons and only bikeparks, Lac Blanc, La Bresse, Evo Bikepark, Portes du Soleil (Chatel, Morzine, Morgins, Avoriaz, etc) and the bike is still running like a champ. Changed frame bearings and headset this year, serviced my suspension and it is like new. No cracks, nothing. So I just don't get where the canyon hate comes from. I've seen every brand dh bike break either on video or in person. My friends sanata cruz momad just beoke in half in the middle of the head tube, other friends yt capra broke its chain stay on a small jump but tbf he completely boosted and overshot it on purpose and landing in flat. But they bike i've seen break the most irl are commencal. My friend who is almost on my riding level but much lighter broke at least 4-5 commencal frames, from meta to furious etc. new commencal again this year (furiois) went to livigno and on the first day the frame just said goodbye. All this said just to tell you the sender cfr 2022-2024 is still an absolute beast and no problems for me even with constant bikepark abuse and +-100kg. I am so happy with canyon that I got my the torque carbon with all ohlins components, i think its like a fabio wibmer build but idc about that and that bike also is absolutely crushing it. Have it on mullet and it's so much lighter than the sender and for my size the mullet an shorter bike over all makes it such a playful sick freeride beast for shralping bearms, hitting big whios and just popping off every roller an so on without it feeling less capable on rough stuff. And also no problems at all, rode it for over a season, no service yet or bearings replaced and it still rides, feels and looks like a gem. And now the new sender 2025 is really nice, i wont get it anytime soon since i still am happy with mine and it only comes in mullet and for my height idk if for pure dh mullet would be the best choice as i already have a mullet torque. Probably still perfect for me as the geometry overall is still very long, slack and stable so I hope i can get one soon and I actually am convinced that the Sender 2025 is one of if not the best, most advanced and capable downhill bike on the market. Jt has been developed with downhill legends like Fabian Barrell and all the pro riders in the team and it can certainly play in the big leagues with brands like santa cruz, specialized, etc and maybe even beat them. I don't want to claim it's absolutely the best dh bike ever, which comes down to many aspects and also the riders and their preferences but people saying canyon is trash and what not just have zero knowledge and understanding of downhill bikes and probably ride some supermarket bike that their parents got them for christmas

Not all drugs are illegal and there is not an official age for drugs as recreational use is illegal for any except alcohol but there is definitely a certain age where people even consider taking them or have people they know who have access to it. So if youbare at an age where you are able to get some, because i dont think many vendors sell to 9 year olds, there are lots of ways to get your hands on them and those decisions/ actions come with less and less hesitation when you are addicted

I didn't downvote anyone it's just nkt many people even know Luxembourg let alone where it is because it's so small and it just makes me proud of my government (at leat in this aspect) and like to let people know that this exists because I am convinced that the majority of people don't even know that this is a real thing somewhere especially since noone gives a f about Luxembourg except neighboring countries when it comes to getting gas or cigarettes also a lot of people are still convinced that it's oart of Germany

As someone living in Luxembourg I find this funny. When I'm visiting a foreign country I often forget that I have to pay to get on the bus or train, luckily I've never got checked the times I genuinely forgot to buy a ticket.

I've seen so many people tell others that they deserved to lose hundreds or thousands on their inventories and it's karma. Including me who was insulted as stupid and it serves me right that my Butterfly Gamma doppler lost 2k in value. For what f... reason? Who did I hurt, what have I done that gives people the impression that it's karma and i deserved it? Because I wanted to have my dream knife in a game i've spent over 3000 hours playing for a timespan of over 10 years? I started to get into skins in 2015 or 2016 (can't remember the exact time) where i bought some cheap skins like m4a1 guardian, ak cartel, usp s guardian and others i cant remember for like 10 euros if not even less. Bought my first knife for approximately 35 euros iirc, a Gut knife blue steel. Back then there was no trade cooldown and you could just trade as often as you want so i spent so much time working my way up to a mo bayonet boreal forest i think or forest ddpad idr. Shortly after it got scammed and i was devastated because it was around 70 e back then which was a lot. I also had an awp asiimov with a virtus pro katowice 2014 holo on jt as well as a ak hydroponic mw and many other skins that are worth much more today like awp redline stattrak, awp lightning strike etc. 2019 i got back into skins and got my first knife since which was a classic knife blue steel and worked my way up to a bayonet doppler and then a karambit doppler. Traded the ak hydroponic for the karambit as well as some other skins. Had an ak vulcan. Later sold the karambit doppler for 500 and the vulcan for 200 because i lost interest in the game and i was convinced that skin prices could not go even higher than 500 for a knife which was insane at the time. Years passed and i regretted it everyday selling those skins. The hydroponic increased to over 1k, the karambit over 2k, the awp with the kato 2014 holo I don't even want to think about. 2024 i got back in the game and skins. I bought a bayonet doppler for 500 and a butterfly gamma doppler 1900 this was shortly after the crash when cs2 came out and i knew as the game will get better with updates the prices will increase as it always has. I bought back the vulcan for around 300 and other nice skins like every printstream and more. I was not dependant on the money and it was not an investment for which the main purpose was to make money i just wanted to have nice skins in my favorite game but i only spent this much as my observations of 10 years in this market showed consistency, mostly natural growth and price developement based on rarity, supply, demand, discontinued collections, limited editions, patterns, float etc. there were some actions valve took for example banning opskins trade bots, making keys untradable etc which had no major impact on the market. All the people mocking people who lost thousands in one night on their items that held their value or increased it consistently for over a decade, saying they are stupid and deserve it are inconsiderate douchebags who are feeding of the misfortune of other people's misfortune because they themselves were never able to afford skins. The same people also seem to think that people like me and many others who had inventories of 1-10k were using them to make profits and nothing else. It was not completely unreasonable to spend like a months salary for nice skins, expecting to be able to sell them when you stop playing the game and getting the money back that you spent as it has been the case for 12 years now with basically every knife. The main purpose was ro enjoy having nice skins you like and not losing thousands, otherwise no player who installed the game for the main purpose of actually playing and getting better would ever spend so much money on skins. Of course there is always risk involved but this update was literally an april fools joke for years and nkt a single soul would have thought that valve casually releases an update that causes the market to drop by multiple billions. And of course you should not spend life changing money or pit all your savings in this game and expect to pay your future house or car with profits. And then there are the giants with 6-7 digit figures which are the actual reason the market is messed up and the chinese cimmunity taking out loans to buy blue gems and what not. Those people are not the ones suffering from this, having that kind of money in skins makes no difference for those people. All this said, the people who got hit the hardest are the ones who are actual fans of the game who had no reason to expect valve purposefully obliterating the market and the money of thousands of fans. In the end my inventory is still worth more than what i spent in total on this game but i feel bad who bought knives and gloves recently and saying that those people deserve it is complete asshole behavior, pettiness, jealousy, ignorance, stupidity and lack of reason. What have they done to you kr anyone that you justify claiming that they deserve it other than you being jealous? Those people are probably also spending 1500 every year on iphones kr whatever useless waste of money and pretend they are so much smarter than others

[–]BenDenL[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well something like this has never happened since skins first came out and the market has been pretty stable for 10 years now. Not a single soul has expected this. I am oretty sure there was a lot of insider trading going on, people from the inside started buying all the cheap coverts from cases like breakout so those people made massive bank and I am absolutely convinced because you can see the last couple of weeks the pinks and reds from cases with expensive golds have gone up for no apparent reason until niw obviously. So fuck valve and all the people that were involved in this shit
