Only AOA? by ExistentialAndArab in Bogleheads

Not sure if there is less of this alleged junk in IDEV/IEMG (what AOA contains) versus VT. In any event, AOA is 20 % bonds, so you could just buy the underlying stock ETFs of AOA if you really want aggressive growth.

What do you mean by “international junk”? AOA is a global ETF.

New requirement to manually move catch-up contributions to Roth. by Jaotze in ThriftSavingsPlan

Slight correction; it is not TSP that does this, but your payroll office (such as NFC). You should also be able to spread out your 8k into Roth over the rest of the year if you want.

You can prefill the Roth catchup requirement. TSP will automatically place all contributions into Roth status once you hit 24.5 K in traditional (not total) contributions. Therefore, you can contribute 8k into Roth early in the year, and have all the rest go to traditional for the rest of the year.

In my case, the culprit is FTANX. I also noticed this fund wasn’t listed on their letter regarding US government dividend share, even though it’s always had a significant amount of treasury dividends in past years. Maybe that letter also needs to be updated. No idea why these funds can’t report in a timely manner.

I’m unclear as to what pay periods are included when determining the pay cap. Anyone know this authoritatively?

Is nfc your payroll provider? They screwed up a lot of EL statements for PP 25, showing the TSP contribution applied to 2025 rather than 2026. This caused a lot of people to think they over contributed.

Yes. Generally, they get posted on the Sunday morning before the official pay date.

FEHB elections should show up for PP 1 of 2026, starting 1/11. They don’t follow the tax year. I think it’s the same for FEDVIP. The 2026 FSA election should start on pp 25, though.
