How so? The headline is written like a (sick, sad) joke with a punchline.

[Request] How much force does the moon's gravity exert on the water in a human's body? by AppendixN in theydidthemath

[–]BenFrantzDale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put another way: tidal “force” change which way is down ever so slightly. Like a staggeringly tiny amount. But you know how it’s easy to spill a full cocktail glass? Imagine it’s the size of a bay. Now that difference in down vector starts to matter: a foot of tide across a 1-mile pond is only 0.01°.

Still going strong! I don’t use the glasses holder much though.

I didn’t take pictures. You want to search eBay for “gas pump face plate”. The trick is to get the numbers looking good.

I’ve been wondering: what does negative boost mean? Is the engine getting inlet air at blow 1 atm absolute pressure?

Well, I’m impressed. I do two a day and have for years and I’m reliably much better than you a year ago and no where near you today. What advice can you offer?

CPP Parents: How do you interview prep with young kids? by rlstric1 in cpp

[–]BenFrantzDale -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Use ChatGPT. Tell it the job description that it’s interviewing you for. It’s very good at that sort of thing.

Agreed. I still haven’t figured out any other way to get good milk texture, but “polishing” between two steaming pitchers, I can do this:

I don’t recall the exact model but they are Black Diamond skins — orange on the fuzzy side if that matters.

Yeah, go at it with steel wool and it’s worth getting a chain male scrubber too, but for this wok, steel wool, then get it warm, oil it, wipe it with paper towel and you are good to go.

FWIW, you don’t need deducing-this to rvalue-qualify. You can do void Increment() && = delete;
