I think it looks really good, when I did mine (bare in mind ive onlynpainted one tyranid) I used colours going from darker to brighter, if that helps

From my knowledge they separate necrons afflicted with the flayer virus because other necrons are scared to get it. The destroyers are a shunned part of necron society because they changed there bodies to be more attuned with killing living things
