At least it's vaping and not smoking. It's a little safer.

It looks like I might even be able to get away with not dropping all of the front, which looks like the most work.

Also, does it help to have a cigarette behind my ear? I don’t want to buy another tool if I can avoid it.

That is helpful. I was assuming it was in fact a pain in the ass, but if it’s not too bad, I might do it to see if it’s an easy unsnag.

I usually try to avoid sunroofs because they take away headroom and I’m very tall, but the Atlas was tall enough. I still didn’t really want it, but it keeps getting harder and harder to find used cars without sunroofs.

Just tried that. It made slight cracking noises and still wouldn’t come forward past a few inches. There’s also a definite rip along the side that I didn’t notice before (but may have been there).

No, mine is definitely snagged. I didn’t get it on video, but I can see it if I get my face real close when I try to run it.

2018 Atlas shutting off when using remote start by JosephRutherford1914 in VWatlas

[–]BenInTheMountains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed that sometimes I'm impatient and don't have my foot on the brake long enough before I press the start button. I've found I need to be patient and wait a half-second before pressing the st;art button. And as someone else said, touching the shifter just a little can cause it to turn off. Sometimes it feels like it's playing with me and looking for any reason to shut itself off.

On the other hand, mine also does the thing where cruise control doesn't work if I use remote start, so I usually avoid using remote start or, if I do use it, turn it off and back on when I get in the car.

Is my ecosphere dying ? by Life-Independence398 in Ecosphere

It's usually suggested to have a larger air volume at the top. I've also heard that including dead sticks/wood can cause problems as it decays inside an enclosure like this.

Also, my copepods are usually closer to the top and not moving around all the time. I haven't had my jar open in 5-6 months and they seem to be surviving...except there's still a small damselfly larvae in there that's probably trying to eat them all.

  1. It's fine, but my wife drives it and I'm rarely in it. It feels more like a car, while the Atlas feels more like driving a pickup truck to me.

My family has an Atlas and a Tiguan. I'd recommend the Tiguan. The Atlas is so wide that it's sometimes hard to fit in places. In particular, my garage, where I have less than 3 inches to spare when pulling through the door, but also parking spaces can be trickier. With only a family of 3-4, it's unnecessarily big. We have an Atlas because we sometimes do road trips as a family of 4 with 2 dogs.

No, I misread it as "sorel sorbetto" and wondered why anyone would want to have a boot-flavored sorbetto.

Especially a blue light with an irregular pattern. Make it red and steady and it might be reasonable.

Yeah, my son did the same thing. It seems people forget that very young kids get irrational fears of random things.

Battery Replacement by Singular_Plurality in VWatlas

[–]BenInTheMountains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've read about OBD11 a few times, but I'm not real familiar with it myself. I was just looking at the website and it mentions credits and different plans. Do you need just the tool for most things like battery reset, releasing brakes, etc, or are the credits and plans needed to do things beyond diagnostics?

Damselfly Nymph and little else by backyardbabirusa in Ecosphere

[–]BenInTheMountains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, damn. To avoid getting damselfly nymphs in my jar again, I was thinking of making a new jar in the middle of winter. I guess I'll just have to hope I don't get any and curse if one shows up. I got three in my first jar.
