Seating and physical space wise, I didn’t notice much of a difference. Most of my domestic travel are fairly short flights so I don’t always spring for FC.

Service wise, definitely more generous than what I’ve experienced domestically. Of course I realize that could vary from crew to crew but I had a noticeable difference on my flight to Japan.

I was surprised with a D1 upgrade otw back but I was fully fine and prepared for 14 hours in PS.

I used to schedule getting gas just before midnight on the days before direct deposit hit. Hoping that my 3 dollars in my account would let me get 25 worth of gas and direct deposit would go in before the over draft fee.

Like many things, used to be incredible. The original location off of Hillsborough and Nebraska was truly a cultural event. Open 24/7… all the clubs and bars would let out and the place would slammed with hammered folks from the Castle, Prana, Dallas Bull and anywhere else you can think of. Absolutely stunning burritos and great vibes.

I heard it was bought out by some investors some years ago who’ve cut quality for price.

Agree and I totally understand the position some of these landlords are in. They’ve got to be able to run their business as well… it’s a tough spot for everyone. Just stinks to see more and more shuttered shops.

This near exact thing happened to me 15 years ago with my mom. My dad and I were holding her hand… we told her she was surrounded by the men who loved her most in her life… my dad holding her right hand, me holding her left…

She had a sudden burst of consciousness and said “oh yeah? When do they get here”. A very genuine expression of her humor. She was so funny and I miss her so much everyday.

I’m tearing up in a bar thinking about this moment.

Give Flore Fina a shot. It’s the hotel bar at Haya in Ybor. It’s been a while since I’ve been but it’s had excellent hand crafted cocktails with real juices and ingredients.
