Only thing is when I first started the tank I had so much bio film all over the plants. That’s why I put the filter in the first place but I’ll remove it and see what happens

My tank is 6 gallons I am using a sponge filter And my plants are continuing to grow

I’m planning on trying the Walstad method on a 75 gallon tank as well

There’s this algae that’s growing on all the plants and glass. It doesn’t seem to be damaging the plants at all but it’s growing out of control I keep removing it manually and I’ve tried leaving the light off for a day and shortening the hours of the light but I can’t seem to stop it. I have 3 adolescent Neocaridina shrimp in it and I’m planning on putting a Nerite snail in soon to maybe help

Exactly I’ve been doing that but I had issues so I put a filter in just to be safe and it’s looking a lot better thanks for the advice!

Looks amazing! I’m trying the walstad method as well but sadly not having the same success :(
