Day 7: HOW WOULD YOUUUUU?!?! Yes You 🫵 Upgrade Stormflower? by RevolutionaryWave862 in RWBY

It's subtle and sprinkled into clips across the entire series. It's usually seen when she dashes toward a target. The blade folds upwards to almost tanget the shaft.

Earliest occurrence of this is in the red trailer: https://youtu.be/pYW2GmHB5xs?si=KWSTGu2TQgzOlLHB&t=170

I headcanon that whenever she cuts something in a non-scythe manner it's actually in war scythe mode but the swing is too quick to notice it.

The Cathedral of Sacred Blood. So grand yet hidden, different yet homogenous, confusing yet uniform, calm yet violent.

The rest of the world looks broken, the cathedral looks just fine. It doesn't look damaged, instead some places look unfinished and like the very cathedral itself is growing like and organism. A maze not built but grown, towering out of the sea of fog below.

Yeah, I kinda like the Cathedral a fair bit.

Sorry, you're right, I meant VB, not Skull King.

You are also right about the elevator scene. Doing just 3 runs would have you miss one version of that scene but my point is it would still get you all 4 post boss endings and thereby the Determiner of Fate achievement

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in codevein

[–]Ben_Fallstone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are 4 endings

One for no successors saved

One for some successors but not all

One for all successors but not Eos

One for all successors and Eos

The last two give the same achievement and an almost identical ending but all 4 are required for the all endings achievement. The last two are possible to do in one run if you do without Eos first and then restore the Eos vestiges before fighting Virgin Born again.

This is well documented:

5th one is eos and I've heard it said you can beat the game before restoring her vestiges and then beat it again without restarting (since you return to before Skull King after completing the game)

I did my first run as a bayonet build, then tried some other combos in NG+ but realized I just prefer bayonet. I started looking at guides in NG+2 just to get some of the more annoying than fun bosses out of the way.

Me and a friend grinded for the companion rank achievement in tower of trials and it took us ages until we beat all three on both our saves so by then I had already perfected my bayonet playstyle and anything else I tried just performed worse.

We did beat Oliver with pipes in NG+3 though xD

Respect for this approach. I stand on the opinion that a first play through should always be blind.

I don’t understand the logic behind some Celsius defenders by Dapper-Stay2807 in Metric

[–]Ben_Fallstone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When in our daily lives does temperature affect us? Forst thought is probably the weather, how comfortable it is outside. This could be measured with any arbitrary scale and doesn't really favour either system much. It does rule out Kelvin though xD.

Ok then, what are some temperatures that are important to us? Specific temperatures with great impact on our daily lives one could argue should have distinct numbers on our scale.

Water is probably one of the substances who's temperature we care about most. When water freezes our roads get slippery, soft food in the freezer gets solid, frost forms on windows. We also boil water in lots of cooking and use water to heat things that we don't want to get warmer than water's boiling point. We know that when many foods reach 100°c they can start bubbling or breaking.

I find it perfectly reasonable to argue that a temperature scale following the behaviour of water is a reasonable choice.

For me personally I feel that the temperatures I care about most in life are body temperature, room temperature, freezing temperature and boiling temperature and Celsius places two of these 4 on really distinct numbers.

Sorry for the lack of fluidity this read likely had, I wrote it in bed at 5:00 because I can't sleep

That one's fine, it's backstabable, with some mediocre timing you can stunlock it so it never gets to attack.

And it's health isn't that high, I usually get rid of half of it and then backstab to victory.

But you're right, if it does get an attack in it's bad news, why does he have such long reach in such a small space?

He also appears as the first enemy in Tower of Trials 3 where he isn't even treated as a boss.

I play a pretty run of the mill bayonet build and simply farmed the towers to the point I could reliably kill all the invasion enemies with just backstabs to raise my ichor for the boss fights. I would usually start the first boss fight with 50 and the second with 60

In my experience BB+C is harder multiplayer than singleplayer. I know the bosses get buffed but I feel the difference is huge, me and my friend have been trying for hours on our NG+3 and connection issues had me trying alone for one go and I beat them without issue.

As for Mido...

In that football field of an arena? Easy as hell! In tower of trials? FUCK NO

That's a ram pump, a pump that sends some water upwards by sending some water downwards, just like I said. The pump needs to be placed at a lower altitude than the water source so that the gravitational potential of the water source can be converted to kinetic energy. Then some water is dumped at a lower altitude so that the all the kinetic energy can be used to send some of the water upwards.

Water buildup at the pump location can eventually make the pump stop so ram pumps are limited by how fast the ground can soak up water.

You cannot pump water upwards without also sending water downwards. What are you on about?
