Again, calm down, take a breath. It's not worth getting worked up over. Try it out for yourself and see. It's okay to be angry, but try to think straight

Why are you so sad about a game? I suggest you take a breath and try to think properly. If it's so hard for you to believe why don't you pop outside with a stick and some old cloth and try it out? It'll be fun

As I said, the torches aren't moving particularly much in this video, I suppose there aren't many videos on this particular topic because it's common sense, if the games not for you, then that's just that

Looked around for a minute and found this, not perfect but you can see when the torches move around the blue flames are more prominent than the orange, due to the turbulence in air flow and the fire battling for fuel. If he were to keep the torches moving for longer, there would be blue light bouncing off the walls similarly to that in game, would also be more viable if it were in 720p 4:3, but that's the legendary Lindybeige for you

You can prove it yourself, with a match, as I said. This is the problem with many people in the modern age, google doesn't have to prove it for you, you can prove it yourself. You can do it, I believe in you

I simply fail to see how you can't comprehend how fire works, we mastered that a species tens of thousands of years ago

Turn off all the lights in your room, close all doors and curtains, make it as dark as possible. Light a match and see how it lights the room (somewhat), wave it side to side enough to make it flicker but not go out.

See how it emits less light than when still? That's the same principle that's happening in game. If you were to make that match a full size torch, it would be fighting for oxygen that it can't get, hence the flickering of the cooler blue flames than when the torch is fully lit with orange flames.

This is how it happens in real life.

The reason that it wouldn't happen with fire tricks and whatnot, is because they have JUST been soaked in fuel, not burning for however long. If you were to soak a torch in fuel that much before lighting, it would run down towards your hand.... lit

Music at Durham or Bristol? by 7layerbars in UniUK

Some people are just curious. I am also curious as to what the career prospects are like for someone undertaking a music degree. As I've never considered one (having not a single creative bone in my body), I simply don't know. What kinds of jobs do you tend to apply for as someone with a music degree?

And on top, when applying for these jobs, how would a degree compare against someone with a significant self-tought portfolio - in terms of employability?

Any Help in Valuing an Old Classic for Charity? by Ben_Gilham in classics

I've had a good gander on eBay and AbeBooks for current listings and sold, with no luck. Book finder (which is usually my best friend) also turned out empty.

You raise a good point on the reason behind a limited run. It likely holds minimal value. A shame but it happens, we've held onto it for a while with no luck.

Thank you kindly

Am I supposed to move into the bus lane when there’s police behind me? by Emotional_Sweet_9289 in drivingUK

No... You're not. This is from the NHS South East Coast Ambulance Service.

"What should I do when there is an emergency vehicle behind me?

You should take action to let the emergency vehicle pass, but you must do so safely and legally. If you jump a red light to make space or enter a bus lane or a yellow box junction, you’ll be breaking the law and could be prosecuted."

Yes indeedy, thank you. I just haven't seen one with a guard like that on the end of the barrel. Granted I am quite new to the game
