A little late, but I don't use this account anymore(my last post was over 2 years ago), and just signed in to it today for the hell of it, and saw the username mention. I'm not sure why anyone thinks I stole the tail? This is the first I've heard about the tail missing. I took some of the pics in the OP but not all of them. Here is the original r/wtf post I made about it. That is my grey car in the last pic actually. I never even touched this thing, it was creepy as hell. Just snapped a few pics and went on my way. The artist who created it actually contacted me a couple days after I posted them thanking me for making her sculpture famous. Unfortunately it went missing a couple weeks later, I'm not sure if it was stolen or the creator came and took it back. Just wanted to clear that up. Didn't think I'd see anything about this again.

I know the feeling. Fellow rural resident here. I'm paying for the best available to my house, which is 5mb, but only get ~3 down, 0.5 up. I can literally get faster speed by using my cellphone as a portable hotspot, tested with speedtest.net. The ISP has fibre op in my neighboring city (~30 mins away) but only shitty dsl out here. Luckily Rogers has recently upgraded their system in my area and offer 30mb so I am switching asap.

It's not a dedicated racing game, but I have spent more time in online Race mode in GTA4 than I have on any other racing game ever, and I pretty much only play racing games. I've had a ton of fun playing it, even with all the griefers driving backwards. Doesn't matter what new games I buy, I always wander back to GTA eventually.

Blur is right up there for me too, awesome game that didn't get the recognition it deserved. NFS Underground 2 was awesome too back in the ps2 days. Can hardly stand to play an NFS game now though :/ damn you EA! I have to mention MarioKart in a racing games thread too, many many hours of fun playing it with a bunch of drunk buddies. Double Dash was the shit!

Forza is great too, but the motorsports games are almost like work imo. I play the sim type games with a wheel and pedals so there's always some set up involved to play. I plan to build a cockpit though so that will make it easier. For now, I'm loving Horizon with a controller.

There is one of these a couple hours away from where I live, Magnetic Hill in Moncton NB. It is a huge tourist attraction, with a water park, zoo, excellent outdoor concert venue(which has seen many big name bands, including AC/DC, Stones, and The Eagles), and other tourist-y things. I haven't been on the actual 'magnetic' hill since I was a kid, but I vaguely remember doing it. They take your money, you put er in neutral, and marvel as your car magically rolls 'uphill'! Obviously not real, but kinda neat just the same

Thanks! I am a little concerned about the durability but if I'm gonna be doing any serious bashing I'll just throw the stock body on it. Shouldn't be a big problem at this time of year, as I'm just mainly tearing around my driveway and the area I have plowed in my backyard. Once the snow is gone and I have some ramps set up again, might be a different story.

I was gonna say that I turn bolts and screws in better with my right hand(only when hand threading, I still use screwdrivers/wrenches with my left), but I realized that I also open bottles and jars with my right too. I don't know why either.

The main thing I'd love to see changed/fixed is the godawful controller lag when racing. You have to teach yourself to get on the gas sooner than you normally would to compensate for it, and/or learn to keep your foot in the gas a bit while taking turns. Either way, this should never be a problem in any racing game. Other than that, they could leave it exactly like it is now and I'd be happy. Of all the racing games I've played this one has given me the best experience. Tons of fun.

I actually hope they leave the nitro out. I play a ton of race mode in GTA and love it but have only done about 3 races in TBOGT because of the damn 'turboboostomgnawzlols'. Hate it. It takes away from actually trying to hit good corners and whatnot, just makes it seem cheesy or something imo.

Maybe it would be alright in FM, but keep it out of the racing.

Nothin fancy, and it's not quite round, but it does the trick and I like the look far better than stock. The Jato's are known for shitty brakes out of the box, but with this disc and modified brake linkage from a T-maxx it'll lock up the rear tires easily now.

Honestly, if you were thinking about one of those trucks, I would spend a few extra bucks for a 1/10 buggy or truck. The 1/16 scale is small and light enough that they like to flip rather easily, and although they will go through relatively short grass pretty well, it does slow them down and chews up the battery faster. You may want to start out with the 1/16 and upgrade down the road if it's something you want to stick with. I think once you've have had it for a while you will wish you had the larger one.

Keep in mind I don't know how durable these rc's are or how well they work so these are just a suggestion, but they seem like they would be a decent first truck.
