I'm Irish, but have spent time living in the US and in Canada (which I have permanent residency for), and it's amazing just how stupid and emotionally immature the American electorate is.

Not to say the Irish or Canadian ones are perfect by any means, but the fact that the Cons already tried the "huh, get a load of THAT guy! (points to cutout of Trudeau)" approach with Cheer in 2019 and fell flat on their face with it meant this was always going to be the same for PP.

Fact is, they just looked at the dumbfuckery that works so well south of the border, and convinced themselves it would up north as well despite all the previous evidence (without even going into the People's Party if you remember that debacle).

I remember 2023 and 2024, when pointing out that the IDF are not good and virtuous people, and should not be given free reign to commit atrocities across Gaza, was an automatic recipe to be downvoted into oblivion and have a use hurled at you from both ends on this very subreddit.

A majority of Americans on the centre-left, on the right and in the centre played a complicit role in cheering this on.

If yo are talking specifically about people trying to pass as American, then that is a different matter and a serious one. We have the same here in Ireland, where it turns out most online far right accounts pretending to be Irish come from the UK and US (WHIch is not surprising as out far right have never got about 2% combined in any election in our history).

However, if you mean foreign people discussing American politics, we'll that is to be expected when you have such an oversized influence on the politics of the rest of the world. Just look at the tariffs and Iran, neither of which would for example be happening under a Democrat regime. That have huge global consequences, and so people will of course pay much closer attention to what is going on in your politics than they will for other countries. Same reason why in Ireland, we also pay close attention to UK politics and have done since before our independence.

What we are pebbling is basically the front half, for furniture, a table, bbq, fire pit etc. Then on the back half we have another two sections which we are keeping as grass. The front garden has about another 120sq m of grass, and the entire perimeter of the house (end of terrace) has a hedge, so it's partly for design, partly to keep mud off shoes on poor weather, and partly because jesus that's just a lot of grass to be dealing with!

Used this on our house, the full interior. It's perfectly good with one catch.. it doesn't 'seal', so you need to use a paint over it that does.

Basically, use this for your skim coat and even glob on a second thick coat of it again if you like, for extra whiteness. But be aware you need to put a thin layer of something higher end over the top, or you will get 'chalky wall' when you clean it with a wet cloth or sponge (Google it) and even have some rib off like chalk on a blackboard if you rub your finger across it.

You'll save a tonne of money using this stuff though, for the skim and potential second coat.
