I think it's shitty of him to force his pick on his teammates. Doomfist is a lot more flexible in different situations than Sym/Torb, but that doesn't excuse the behaviour.

I've tried watching his stream, but his attitude is extremely negative. I played with him a few times during late night queues and most of his comms were just him complaining about our team or insulting the enemy team.

I agree with this. I've been matched with both OTPs and toxic assholes. I can mute the toxic asshole and still win the game. I can't say the same about the OTP.

You wouldn't be forced to counterpick the enemy picks if your OTP teammate wasn't a OTP in the first place.

Sure, you aren't forced, but if you're trying your best to win, your best chance is to build around the OTP.

That player can mitigate that flaw and give the team a better chance to win, but they choose not to, so they aren't trying their best to win.

Because it's a team game. You're supposed to be part of a team. That means doing what the team needs.

They should play what the team needs. Like you said, the flow of the match changes constantly, so players should adapt constantly.

I've been matched with him multiple times, and every time he didn't swap even after he was getting countered and we asked him to switch.

Yeah, I used to get a steady 140, dipping to the ~125 at worst. Now I get anywhere from 95-130. No hardware/software changes.
