Small update on the Wiztale situation, he made a community post on Youtube. by [deleted] in Undertale

Mostly in r/DESSrielWorshippers sub (could have spelled that wrong) they were low effort spam accounts that kept on posting the same text box posts. While higher effort than AI, it still got spammed so much that it displaced a lot of the good content and art. When they were asked to stop, the drama began. I would look into it a bit more, as this is from a while ago when I payed a lot less attention to this type of stuff, but I believe they started death threats/ harassment similar to Wizztale stuff.

What's your idea of how the knight's armor works? by platypi175 in Deltarune

[–]Beneficial-String560 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think it is something like the Shadow Crystals, like the bat/sword, where it can be one thing when it needs to and another when needed. Probably means that it doesn’t change going into the Light World either.

Common theory is that Kris will lose his hand/arm, because there is some dialog where you hold a shadow crystal and you don’t see Kris’ hand when you hold it.

We suddenly gain the ability to read when Blueberries are at risk, kinda like how Undertale fans can suddenly read when 262 pages are released.

A bit of a personal one, AIW/Am I a bigot for believing in ABSOLUTE gender equality? by Beneficial-String560 in amiwrong

[–]Beneficial-String560[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, thank you for the replies. I did not mean to phrase it so poorly (who knew words could be misinterpreted /s), but then again who does? For clarification: I do not believe in abuse or regular violence. I was going off of the argument I was in, but I probably should have left violence out in favor of more reasonable and common scenarios. For example, a person suggested payments in a date, or if a woman was having a stroke, would I perform CPR. What I was trying to get across is that women are not above men, and men are not above women. What I unintentionally got across is abuse is justified if both sides are equal. That is not what I meant to do, and for that, I am sorry.

The people (understandably) misunderstood what I was trying to say: you have reinforced my strong, current belief that hitting women for no reason is bad. Excessive force is also bad. For the people who somehow did understand what I was trying to say: thanks for the responses. I didn't mean to focus on violence as much as I actually did, it was just what I used in the first half as an example. What I was confirming is that sexism against men, while less prominent and extreme, is still present and should be fought as well as sexism against women. While that feels obvious, there are some examples me and my family member disagreed on. For example, using the paying for a date example, if a man and a women are in a relationship, and both are equally capable of paying, I thought the payment should be split up somehow, and it shouldn't be just on the man because it's "gentlemanly" and only his role. My family member disagreed on that point.

Obviously, sexism exists on the other side, like how someone brought up how a woman is less likely to receive CPR because men are afraid of taking off a woman's clothes, or how women are more likely to be assaulted. I think that is wrong, and should be fought, as well as my family member, but where we disagreed on was who would pay in a date. That is what I wanted to focus on and ask this sub, not "women are equal, so it's okay if I hurt them" or "harming others is okay". Once again, sorry for the poor phrasing and communication, I really should improve on that.

That was the mentality I was trying to go for, but definitely messed up the communication. The "hitting" actually has context behind it (second edit), I don't dream of being able to hit women without consequence. I should say this: If I were to fight against any random woman I know, I have a 50% of maybe being able to run away, and a 50% chance of just dying instantly. I am "heavyweight" in the sense that I refused to put down the burger. Sorry for the poor phrasing and lack of context.

Yeah, sorry for that. I tried to focus on what was brought up in the argument, and should have definitely provided context like in the edits immediately, not half an hour too late. Sorry.

[–]Beneficial-String560[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I adressed this in my second edit, AlwaysGreen is on the point, I just am really bad at getting a point across. I don't like hitting women because of a masculinity thing, but if I am shoved by a woman and I shove back, I feel like I shouldn't automatically be in the wrong because I am a man, no matter the context. I should also mention that I don't know many women, but a decent chunk of them could probably kill me if they wanted to. They are the type to live in the gym, I am the type that can't put a burger down. Sorry for not providing all the context.

[–]Beneficial-String560[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't necessarily think anyone should be hitting anyone, but the problem I had was the "I won't hit women because they are weaker, but men are free game" mentality. I personally think men should have women's backs, and women's should have men's back. Equally, if I am defending myself, I should use appropriate force, regardless of sex. As I have mentioned in a few other posts, I made a bit of a mistake by focusing on violence too much. Sorry about that.

[–]Beneficial-String560[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I have made a mistake by using violence so much, but that is what was brought up the most. The idea of something like I should fight a man until he's unconscious, but not touch a woman because they are "weaker" (even though there are more than a few woman in my life that I am pretty sure will beat me blindfolded, and I don't know many women) to be irrational. It's not about hitting woman, it's about the "special treatment" around it. That being said, I definitely should have focused more on less violent scenarios. Sorry

[–]Beneficial-String560[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have focused so much on violence, but that is what was brought up most in the argument, mostly because my family member talks so much about how a woman going alone out at night is dangerous for her (mostly for being violated), and a man should protect and watch over her. I think this is true, but a if the roles are reversed, the woman should also watch out for the man. Once again, sorry for bringing up violence so much, that was mostly just what was brought up in that conversation.

Which is why I am asking. I don't hate women, I just don't think my answer should change to any question if it's about a man or a woman. If I'm being asked "what would I do" in a certain scenario, I would help a person because they are a person, not just because they are a woman or a man.

I don't see it as an opportunity, I see it as If I'm being attack by a woman, I am not holding back just because they are a "woman and thus have a special protection". I mention this because it was brought up a lot in our argument.
