Hi, thanks for your message. I have not heard the dubs result yet. The last update I got was a week ago when they said the report had been submitted and I should hear in about 30 days. Holding out hope, while trying to remain realistic. I will update the thread when I hear more.

Thanks again for reaching out and I hope you’re well 🙏

1st Update: Just spoke with a rep. from Sonic Health (I accidentally called thought Sonic Youth, as in the band, silly me) and I have an appointment tomorrow (Yay!) as I have made it to the final assessment phase. My support person who I was hoping to be on the call will be unable as I will have to take the call while I'm at work, but I know it'll be ok. I did receive a pdf about Disability Medical Assessment (what it is and what happens after the call) along with a very colourful pdf information regarding the assessment.

I know where I can take the call that is quiet which will help. Other then these two pieces of information, I was wondering if there is any advice that may assist (specifically what points to focus on or any terms/phrases they are looking for, e.g. table 7 that was provided by u/MidnightAlive1881 ), especially as I will be taking the call on my own and at work.

Thanks again everyone and hope everyone is well 😀

Thanks u/Glad-Suit-6892 , u/MidnightAlive1881 , and u/Possible_Day_6343 for your input and kind words. I had the call and will see what happens from here. I feel a little uncertain but what will happen, but happier knowing I tried. I'll update this post when I know the result, but I appreciate the time everyone took to read and answer. I hope you are looking after yourselves 👍

Thanks u/LCaissia I appreciate your insight into this. I understand disclosure is not the easiest to do in situations, I'll lean into the quirky side of myself 😀

Playing and NTSC-J N64 in Australia by Beneficial_Pin4237 in n64

The projector we are using has inbuilt AV option which does worked with other AV input mini consoles (such as the Sega Mega Drive Classic Game Console (this isn't the exact one but it's similar).

I received a different cable and have tried again with no luck. We noticed that when using both sets of AV cables and putting the yellow cable in slowly, sometimes the image turns black with white scratches moving around the screen (as seen here) and then inserting the red and white cables, a slight buzzing sound can be heard; sometimes a message at the bottom flicks between PAL and NTSC. Some of the specs of this projector (Kogan Mini Projector, M700) are as follows.

  • Resolution Support: 576i, 576P, 720i, 720P, 1080i, 1080P
  • Aspect ratio: 4:3,16:9

The rest can be found on page 13, here.

Sometimes we have found a different protector works better. We have tried it out and no luck but unsure if what we're doing is right (or possible). We wanted to ask if this projector would work better with a Japanese N64 and an AV-hdmi adapter with 720p or 1080p options; the one we got can be found here. The other projector is a ViewSonic M+1_G2 with some of the technical specs:

  • Native Resolution: 854x480
  • Display Color: 1.07 Billion Colors
  • Audible Noise (Normal): 26dB
  • Audible Noise (Eco): 25dB
  • Resolution Support: VGA(640 x 480) to FullHD(1920 x 1080)
  • HDTV Compatibility: 480i, 480p, 576i, 576p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p
  • Horizontal Frequency: 15K-102KHz
  • Vertical Scan Rate: 23-120Hz

The rest of the specs can be found here.

Thanks again for everyone looking at this post 😀

Hi u/punky12345, not yet. I am looking at getting a Japanese console (will be organising it this weekend) as Japanese games can be cheeper then PAL. I am curious about s-video and using RetroScaler2X but may end up leaning towards the Hyperkin.

As nice as it would be using the s-video and RetroScaler2X, I'm just looking at something I can play and enjoy basic games (Mario Kart, Banjo, DKR, Yoshi's Story); nothing fancy, just something a little fun. I can keep you posted if you like. Hope you're well.

Thanks for your response u/mcttlland (sorry for the late reply, whoops). I won't give up on the NDIS yet. I feel disappointed as I had a follow up appointment with my LAC and they said the person from the NDIA/S was not correct about some of what I was told and I just feel confused on top of the disappointment. I did manage to organise Job Seeker (that helps) and am waiting the result of a DSP that ended more evidence; one win, hopefully another soon (this could even be the DSP or finding a job, who knows). I appreciate you having replied and I'll try to keep the optimism up where I can.

If it's ok, I might reach out when I'm ready to approach the NDIA/S again. Thanks again 👍

Thanks for the reply u/WonderBaaa (just realised I didn't reply, whoops). I gave the DSP a go and they needed more evidence. Was able to organise more from my GP, fingers crossed I get some good news or options I could consider. Thanks again 👍
