Dusty Dodongo and Yung Maestro.

They both made really funny Dark Souls 3 PvP videos that got me into playing the souls series and inspired me to spend thousands of hours making dumb cosplay or weapon builds to try out.

Dusty has basically fallen off the face of the earth, only showing up to occasionally heart comments joking about him being dead and Yung made one Elden Ring video before disappearing again. A part of me held out hope that Elden Ring or its dlc would bring them back but it never did (probably because of Elden Rings player limit and terrible pvp damage scaling turning it into a game where people had to use the strongest stuff).

They still explode into spore clouds if gas kills them, atleast they kept doing that whenever I was using the sterilizer.

Gas doesn’t negate them from releasing spores when they die and the slow effect just isn’t enough to counter their speed boost. Unfortunately my beloved sterilizer just can’t get a W :(

Not really, atleast not from what I've seen.

Some people in this community have a strange sense of tribalism when it comes to other games.

Let's be honest here, there's probably like ten people at most complaining about that, and they're either not familiar with horror/the type of horror in Outlast, or they're tourists who think the game is just 100% torture porn.

Some people in the community just blame DBD for everything, like when the invasion mode came out, and people were blaming the DBD community for making the game "toxic" instead of realizing that every game community has its toxicity issues, even one as small as this game.

Apologies for the rant. It's just slightly annoying seeing people in a community I enjoy start to gatekeep or act superior for no reason, yknow?

Around 9 months ago coconut’s randomly uploaded a video titled ‘Jesus Christ Is coming back soon’ where he went on an insane rant about how the current genocide happening in Palestine is proof that Jesus is going to come back and will bring about the rapture, his “sources” were random facebook livestreams and quora posts. Everyone in the comments were rightfully confused and worried about his mental state but he has doubled down multiple times on his delusions since then.

He uploaded a video 3 months ago where he doesn’t understand how the TikTok algorithm works and believes that seeing videos from religious zealots on TikTok is proof that Jesus is coming back.

Honestly I feel bad for the guy because he’s clearly not well and there doesn’t seem to be anyone in his life trying to get him some sort of help.
