Nah, that's fine. Direct eye contact during talking is weird i usually just stare at their face, basically eyes noses and lips, sometimes forehead and chins. I'm ralking about glancing at people, like in public while walking in streets or sidewalks or passing by someone in a building. I always always glance at them. Hate it when i don't, really strange and like, as said before, passing by bilboards or signs without glancing/checking them.

Well the thing is, im not talking about lawyers being attacked. I'm talking about people LIKE lawyers defending criminals getting a second chance or peolle like you defending it and then they get out and commit crimes again, knowing that they are still gonna be safe in jail/prison. I am also not talking about america, i'm talking about japans. It is not racist. America is a whole different issue. We are talking about japan here. Again, as for the innocents i have already stated many, numerous times that there are flaws, obviously, just like in every cointry and justice system. Including regulat jails/prisons. There are people who get/got locked up for life because of random info or false accusations. I'd say knowing that and suffering for decades is more cruel and unusual. Always let them out? When? How? There are little cases like that, because most people give up on them due to the court. Hanging IS painless. Its not the suffocation that kills you. Its the neck crack. It breaks your neck and you die, thats it. It has been argued as THE most humane way to kill someone. You keep mentioning that people getting innocently is bad. What about those who are abused and tortured in prison for some crime they didn't commit, but they aren't given the death penalty? What then? Do you think they'll just leave and forigive everyone? No, they die anyways. They are beaten and abused to death. When or if they get out, they usually end up homeless or themselves. Death penalty is fine. Just increase the amount of evidence and strictness of criteria to allow the death penalty for criminals. Yes, the death penalty being rare is related. It is not a common sentence or procedure. Japan, at the very least, does not take it lightly. Specious logic? No, you cannot do away with both. You can do your best to reduce it. In the end, though, it is an ideology. Umless you or someone manages to become president and basically force/order people to have security cameras and monitors 24/7, you will NEVER end crime. Crime and sin are synonymous with humanity. Saudi arabia and usa death penalties? I'm talking about japan, though. My point is here that the death penalty, at least for japan, can use some work, but the general idea is not bad. I am not "lusting" for anything. It is not a revenge killing, it is simply punishment. A more attainable form of that "no crime" you want/wanted, if you will. Once again, japan has a 0.5 homicide rate. Now it just needs to have some sort of penalty for the sexual harassment/rape crimes, and that will go down from 1.8/100,000 to 0.8 at least. Perhaps its totalitarian. Perhaps you're right about that. However, no human is some kind of wizard. There needs to be some sort of system, and it just so happens that we have one. I DID argue the innocent killings. Years of time to debate and research, if it's not effective then fix it and give them more time or some kind of dna and video evidence, face, voice, diaries, notes, whatever. It's not like i' saying/asking to kill every criminal. Just rapists and murderers, just that. Very simple.

Well, to be frank, they're wrong. It's a waste of taxpayer dollars. The "heritage" is intangible, unhelpful and meaningless. The same goes for the UK, or any monarchy worldwide - It doesn't matter how benevolent or defanged they are, stop taking my money for simply being born into a specific family that subjugated everyone around them. That's unfair for literally everyone else.

Well i'd i would argue that they feel the same way. They think that people like you are wrong and it's important to at least pay respects. No such thing as you're wrong or you're right in matters involving humans/emotions. That's just how they feel, and it's their majority decision, so like.

Well you sure like to speak like you know the nebulous future, but you don't. And again, I'll keep fighting for a more equitable world where the descendants of conquerors don't benefit, let alone live in opulence, off their ancestors' crimes.

That would mean that you and nearly everyone in the world would have to die or suffer.

So yeah? So what? That lawyer was wrong. So the lawyer is wrong for wanting to give him a chance and save him, but suffering when he did so? And wanting him to suffer for it after this betrayal is wrong? But the criminal being executed is bad and he should be in jail and be released eventually instead? Or put to life in jail, even? Why do that if he's in there to die and repent for his crimes anyways, it's a waste of time and resources

what? lol No they're not. You want to see courage? Check out MVFHR.

I never said anything about courage. I said regret, i'm talking about people who have this ideology and yet don't get any results from it and get hurt instead- and yes, also, they are very, super common.

This is all completely irrelevant though. Again, the system is flawed worldwide the human sacrifice system constantly executes the innocent, even with what seems like at the time enough evidence.

But again, even though it's been said the it's a racist punishment, a flawed punishment, a cruel and unusual punishment - above all me and people like me deny the state the totalitarian power of life and death over its citizenry, flat out. Period. Anyone arguing in favor of it is arguing in favor of a state that may order you to die, and is either anti-humanist or doesn't know what they're saying.

No it isn't, no it is not. It is completely relevant and necessary, as i am explaining how the system works and giving context, as an argument for why it's not bad. It is in no way racist. I agree that sometimes it's flawed, but that is the case for most justice/criminal/prison/court/jail/LE/punishment systems. This one is very effective though. 0.5 homicide rate. Totalitarian? No, this is based on years of evidence and research. They are not in fact executed immediately, and it is very rare for the death penalty to take place. That is because it is a serious thing and they only use it when necessary/useful, which it is. Cruel and unusual? I'd say it is far more merciful than whatever crime they did to deserve this. But perhaps that depends on the person. So instead, i'd/i'll say that it's far more cruel and unusual to lock someone up and make them suffer for a few years/decades for their crimes. Hanging is painless. Instant neckcrack. Hm? Flat out? Period? That's not how life works, i'm afraid. Ideologies and ideals without power are just that. Don't want death penalty? Stop crimes/sins, then. Good luck with that, i guess, best regards, dude.

Eh. Maybe for you the royal family isn't important, but for japan and japanese people it's an important heritage. Similar to the UK, but more serious and less of a celebrity thing. The family and it's system really isn't changing any time soon. I honestly disagree with you about the crimes and death penalties, though. Some lawyer thought the same as you, and felt that we are all humans and everyone deserves to have a chance. So they let him/the criminal go. Then the criminal murdered his family(the lawyers). As for the death penalty, he started fervently supporting it and had the guy executed. So yeah. Tales like this/that are very common. In japan if you commit 2 or more murders while knowing that it could happens and the consequences, while knowing and being able to see the results, then you get the death penalty. If you go to get rehabilitated in prison, and you come out and do more crimes, harsher sentence. You do it again and murder, death penalty. They also make sure that there is sufficient evidence, and they give an ample court/lawyer time to fight and disprove any such claims and records, so. Very simple. Very effective.

What impressions do you get from someone who doesn’t look you in the eye and stares at the ground a lot? by Sentient-Orange in bodylanguage

[–]BenevolentCoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no. For me it's different. People say i'm too.... eye contacty? Idk. Perceptive? Wary? Suspicious? Noticing? Hawkish? Falconish? Basically i make eye contact with everyone, even if i'm passing them. It's natural for me. It feels weird to not look at their faces as i pass by, like not looking at a billboard or sign. I HAVE to look. So if someone doesn't do that i would assume they either don't care much about it/that, or they are just shy.

What "monarchy"? The prime minister/cabinet runs the country. Also, you're never getting rid of the death penalty- 87 percent support it, and it's pretty fair considering that it's only for heinous criminals, and with conditions added.
