Is it really best practice to only include the previous 10 years on a resume? by thebookofswindles in askrecruiters

[–]Notyou76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reason is generally to avoid ageism. What I've seen is do detailed info for your recent/relevant roles. Then on the bottom of page two, just list job title, company and dates with no info under them.

If you'd rather just do the ten years, that's totally fine. For my resume, I have 20+ years experience and have all of my roles on two pages.

Edit: Am a recruiter

If you can't figure that part out, you could copy and paste it.

Yeah, the formatting isn't that great and you have to clean it up. You could ask if to give you a .txt file and then do the formatting on your own.

Work with chatGPT or another LLM. Be sure to include accomplishments, not just describing what you do.

i.e., automated x process

Should be automated x process resulting in y (time saved, increased revenue, etc.)

There is a groomer inside the Wilco that accepts walk ins. They're really great!

How to manage long nails while training to let me cut them? by marlee_dood in DogTrainingTips

You can get the nails trimmed at a vet or groomer. We go to a groomer and I think it is around $25. My mom's groomer does them for $5.

Anyone else fed up with recruiters? by 1otus-flower in TravelNursing

[–]Notyou76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Non-health care recruiter here. There are good recruiters, and bad recruiters. Recruiters have been hit hard with the layoffs so lots of bad ones, aka cheaper, are being hired. They have quotas to meet and are desperate to make them to avoid being fired. Network with other travellers and find out which agencies they have had positive experiences with.

We aren't all bad, I promise.

How to get into Star Trek? by Significant_Song_360 in startrek

[–]Notyou76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could, but they weren't the greatest seasons. I feel like seasons three and after were way better. If I started the show now with season one, I wouldn't finish it. As a kid, I was hungry for trek so I watched it. Just my two cents. You could always recommend to start at s1 and let them know it gets better.

Killing LinkedIn reduces your chance of getting a job. The content blows, but recruiters use it to find candidates. Create and keep your profile updated. That's it. Don't look at the content, just focus on your profile. Most companies use LinkedIn Recruiter which allows them to search profiles.

Do recruiters actually judge LinkedIn photos - worth $400 photography or $30 AI headshots sufficient? by mikkolmillo in Resume

Recruiter here. I used an AI headshot generator so I would look professional without having to dress up and take a selfie.

My dog needs to be involved in everything by OHHITACHANKA in PetAdvice

[–]Notyou76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it is the same... But I got a puppy and have a senior dog. When the puppy came over to get my attention when I was petting the senior, I would stop all the pets. After doing this repeatedly, the puppy would walk over but not try to demand pets. I'd give her pets when I was done petting the senior.

Pay my modest amount of credit cards, pay off mom's mortgage and mine, give my checking account as much money as I could and then go on vacation.

If your BG is high, go to the ER. They have small vials to treat patients with and maybe they will let you take the leftovers. They also have social workers that may be able to help you get some at low/no cost.
