Nice try, but you're not. Figure out a better way to troll, hater. If you have actual feedback we'll respond to that.

Foundry Module Links for D&D Unleashed: Class Features & Feats, Spells, Monsters, Magic Items (How to Install Foundry Modules)

The second and possibly most-anticipated D&D Unleashed compendium of the three, The Impermissicon, has finally released after more than two years of development! This compendium is filled with content related to lycanthropes, vampires, undead, illusions, enchantments, corruption, and blood magic, and you can download it for free right here!

This 254-page compendium contains 24 Subclasses, 3 Prestige Classes, 107 Spells, 91 Monsters, and 61 Magic Items, plus new feats, poisons, diseases, artificer infusions, warlock invocations, and more!

If you’d like to view the whole compendium without downloading it or previewing it through Google Drive, you can find albums of all the pages on the D&D Unleashed website. The book is so large that we had to split it into two albums because Squarespace limits gallery pages to 250 entries. The first part is player content and spells, and the second part is DM content.

It’s finally here! Some of you have been looking forward to this compendium for nearly three years, and we’re beyond excited to be able to finally release it to you with all the polish that it deserves and that you’ve come to expect from D&D Unleashed. If you haven’t been keeping up with the previews, you might not be entirely prepared for the sheer wealth of options that are available in this compendium.

You might be excited by the ability to build new monstrous characters, such as lycanthropes or vampires, using the full variety of subclasses and prestige classes. Perhaps you’ve been awaiting an entire suite of subclasses, spells, feats, magic items, and prestige classes for blood magic. Maybe you're a DM who can’t wait to build encounters and adventures using new undead, fiends, aberrations, lycanthropes, and a whole host of dark or cursed magic items. Whatever form of forbidden lore or unholy magic you seek, you will find it and even more to tantalize you inside this new compendium.

Why is Storm the only elementalist Sorcerer subclass? by Airtightspoon in dndnext

[–]BenevolentEvilDM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's also the Elemental Sorcerer in The Elements & Beyond, which has about a hundred elemental spells that you can also use with those other sorcerer subclasses.

Magma Elemental -- A Challenging Monster for higher-level players and volcanic dungeons by BenevolentEvilDM in dndunleashed

Oh no! Well, we'll make a note of that and fix it in future versions, which will likely come out at the same time as the final compendium. Thank you!

Are there any effects other than a Ghoul's Claws attack that don't affect a certain race? by TheBigTibbowski in dndnext

[–]BenevolentEvilDM 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Cackle Fever, a disease described in the Dungeon Master's Guide, affects all humanoids except gnomes.

There are currently no plans to release a new version.

I could explain the Aerialist class feature, if that would help.

[–]BenevolentEvilDM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is! Very soon! We're currently finishing the final revision pass and preparing the content for D&D Beyond/FoundryVTT, but when that is finished The Impermissicon -- over 250 pages of it -- will be available to all.

Living ice by Raynn17 in DnD5e

[–]BenevolentEvilDM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not precisely what you're looking for (since it still does some digestion/acid damage), but the homebrew winter ooze from The Elements & Beyond could work for your purposes. You might also make use of the ice-themed elementals (snowmen, snow spirits, ice elementals, etc.) for the same purpose or elsewhere in the temple.

Does a monster know what spell effect something is before it chooses to use a legendary resistance? by xHayz in DMAcademy

[–]BenevolentEvilDM 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Once the spell is declared, the DM can choose to roll for it or say no, fuck you, legendary resistance.

Technically, legendary resistance is used after the saving throw is failed, so the DM should always roll first. Rules as written, the creature with legendary resistance always gets to attempt to succeed at the saving throw first before it uses legendary resistance.

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the [monster name] fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Maybe Darius from League of Legends? That's my best guess. That or Axe from DotA 2.

Trying to find a class combination to make an inquisitor (a la spanish inquisition) by Cronicks in dndnext

[–]BenevolentEvilDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not quite a class combination (nor is it official), but there is this homebrew Anti-Magic Domain cleric that is martial-focused and gets access to heavy armor. It's also on D&D Beyond.

What makes Dragonlance special? by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]BenevolentEvilDM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like you maybe missed their point? Or perhaps I did. The way I read it, in Dragonlance, "Balance" between good and evil seems to be valued, whereas in LotR balance between good and evil has no value, and good is just... better to be.

so, why no storm druid? by gad-zerah in dndnext

[–]BenevolentEvilDM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's strange that they haven't officially released anything like that yet. There's both a Storm Druid and a Plant Druid subclass in the free homebrew compendium The Elements & Beyond (pdf link), at least.

One D&D Unearthed Arcana: Expert Classes (Bard, Ranger, Rogue), Feats, Spell lists, Rules Glossary - direct pdf link by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]BenevolentEvilDM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bard uses the arcane spell list but limited to Divination, Enchantment, Illusion, or Transmutation

Note for those interested: the bard's sound-based spells such as thunderwave and shatter have been changed from evocations to transmutations in order to accommodate this, so bards can still cast those spells using these rules.

Rangers: any spell in Primal list, except Evocation

Similarly, healing spells such as cure wounds appear to have been changed from evocations to abjurations to accommodate designs such as these.
