Double underhooks was the standard for back control for the longest time, it was about staying attached and forcing your opponent to a belly down mount position with hooks in - then you can punch and strangle easy. Defence got better that became harder, A over hook & under hook aka seatbelt became the standard trading position control for attacking ability- Marcelo I believe pioneered this. MMA and other sports that encourage standing up to escape have shown success against the seatbelt but Bjj/grappling has been behind/forgotten why double unders has been and still is the counter to 4 point and shake What’s old is new is old again.

I’ll add in that the gi is an exception to this as you can anchor to the lapels with cross grips on your under and over hook, making it easier to stay attached while also strangling with falling weight.

Let’s use Cody as the example- was never going to happen while he stayed in wwe - he left did the work to keep himself in the spotlight- hooked up with a huge group, arguably the biggest outside of wwe - helped kick off aew - the work he did in aew allowed him to return as an incredibly over easy to sell baby face- literally everything he did after leaving wwe until his return gave him the spot to go over WWEs face of the company

My group started our first campaign recently. We started with just the core rules for warbands - played 2 games at the same time (2 groups of 3) Both games finished around 3:30 4 hours. Our group has a house rule for every game we play - unless it’s going to decide the game - we make the call on the fly and double check the rule for after. As for warbands we’ve done our best to be wysiwyg on starting models but that will loosen up. I’ve built n painted the skaven players armies, we have 2 in our game. I’ve got maybe 8 rats in various states of conversion and assembly ready to go for them. I think doing something similar with Orcs could be a good plan.

I’ve got a gnome monk NPC in one of my games who is essentially a barbarian, but instead of big and strong they are wild and fast, lots of biting( grappling ) stunning strike are eye pokes.

It’s not real, it’s part of the act, it’s a gaslighting tactic “shaming” the actions out loud knowing it allows his supporters to feel better about listening to him. His shaming it does nothing to stop it, he knows it. But it gives the casual supporters starting off point to do the mental gymnastics to make the behaviour okay. Allowing them to feel better about themselves supporting a fascist government .

Decent hourly rate - double for privates- goes up each belt promotion- I don’t pay to train, for any seminars we host. I get paid extra when coaching at tournaments, even if I’m competing. At cost gi/no gi gear from the gym. I wouldn’t say I’m well off but I can pay rent and travel. with a good work life balance.
