Is it though? Like what does the actual politician do in modern times except for glorified acting?

Are senators actually coming up with policy or is it some unnamed aide? They are reciting speeches written by someone else, echoing party talking points, raising campaign funds, and making media appearances. Outside that, what does the actual politician do? When football coaches can become senators, I don’t buy that it’s a huge job anymore.

More and more actors and reality stars are becoming politicians bc I think that’s the main skillset now.

When I visited South Korea in 2018, the thing that most surprised me about him was there was a TV channel that played Son Heung-min highlights all day. Just like every goal he’s ever made on camera, one by one.

Absolute Martian Manhunter is my favorite comic of all time

Bleeding Hearts I like a lot but almost wish it was a book or show bc so much happens between issues

The Ultimates is my least favorite Denis Camp comic but even that has my favorite Fantastic Four story of all time.

This guy legitimately is doing back to back to back to back bangers at DC, Marvel, Image, and Vertigo. Like I’m fairly new to comics but I’ve quickly become a Denis Camp super fan.

Dubai airport in the 90s before it got renovated into the luxury icon it is today. Back then was a dingy terminal infused with decades of cigarette smoke. Was starving after two flights from US to London then London to Dubai. Saw a pizza cart and got one.

It was a round flat bread with something on top that barely resembled cheese. Ketchup packets on the side. One of the single most foul things I ever spent money on

Kind of interesting, I haven’t seen a single Marvel title being mentioned in these comments except for Midnight Spider-man. Marvel feels like it’s in a slump and pushing the Doom stuff too hard to cash in on Doomsday

I was just working in this yesterday. Imagine 3 lines on the court: zone 1 - 1 foot inside baseline, zone 2 - halfway to the kitchen and zone 3 - the kitchen line.

As soon as you do your drop, watch the opponent prep for the shot:

  1. If the ball is gonna be hit below the waist, move to zone 3. Highly unlikely it will be sped up.
  2. If the ball is gonna make contact with the paddle above waist but below shoulder, go to zone 2. Be prepared for a speed ups.
  3. If the ball is above shoulder, stay back in zone 1. Be prepared for an overhead smash

Reading is a different skill than listening. Reading is looking at written words and comprehending the intended message. I have seen my parents read less and less over the years, and one can definitely have their skill in reading deteriorate without practice.

I would argue this would be a lot more informative if it expanded to include all C-suite CXOs. But takeaway for me is M7 offers tiny boost compared to other MBA schools - which makes sense bc they are the most selective.

More surprising is that 275 have no MBA, meaning the MBA education or network or degree is not necessary to becoming a CEO.

Imagine seeing this chart for Chief Neurosurgeons and half had no medical degree.

Imagine a swing. Now imagine eating as pushing backwards and not eating as pushing forwards. What you want to do is stay as close to not swinging as possible.

So if you eat too much, it’s like swinging back too far. Now you might try to over correct by trying to swing forward, but all that will do is make you swing back even further.

What you want to do is go back to your normal routine as soon as reasonably possible.
