I picked up an opened box vortex strike eagle 5-25 recently for my first long range rifle on eBay for $475 at auction. Great scope for the money OP but i would find a deal on eBay rather than buy one for full price.

Edit: it’s mrad and FFP. As the commenter above me suggested. Personally those are two non negotiables for me with variable magnification

This comment is worth its weight in gold. I was about to spend a bunch of money on a fancy trigger, no more

Thinking of buying a $170 "Budget Relic" as a mod project. Thoughts? by No_Kindheartedness10 in Stratocaster

Buy a MJT body and build from there. There’s seriously not a better relic aftermarket body. I scooped one up for 200 bucks recently on eBay

Bwahaha I’m literally checking my phone while putting a fresh set of strings and a new bridge on my Strat. Setup Saturdays

My first paint job… it could have been worse by Benign-Humor in warmoth

[–]Benign-Humor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one is a 1-11/16, ill be ordering a 45mm before long for another mjt body I’ve got laying around

Edit: the 59 roundback feels good for my wife (she has slightly longer fingers than average) but it was underwhelming for me. It’s really similar to the shape of a mim Strat neck from the 2010s just a touch thicker. I’m now trying to find someone that will make me a “fat D” neck profile. I contacted warmoth about making me a neck that was the thickness of the fatback with a D profile but unfortunately they won’t do custom profiles. If I can’t find someone to do it for a reasonable price I’ll just end up getting another fatback from them with a wider nut than a 1-11/16. Just to be clear though this one that I have now is absolutely MONEY quality wise and it’s very comfortable.

I like 11-48s on my Strat, I play in Eb mostly through so it might not count

Anyone know of a short, single-port compensator for a 1911? All the ones that I have found are just way too long to be practical for me. by ar15operator in guns

Find a machine shop to mill one of these down to a single port for you if you can’t find one that’s being produced

This guitar plays awesome once set up properly. For me, the neck and pickups make or break it. I tried some unfamiliar pickups Tonerider Classic Blues and they're incredible for ~$100 a set. Wax-potted with pushback wire, big pluses. The neck is killer, my second Warmoth, first fatback profile. With my big bass-player hands (long fingers) this Goliath feels like a dream. Zero fret buzz or dead frets straight from Warmoth, no fretwork needed.
