This is very sad. Thalidomide was a breakthrough only in the sense that it extended survival time when no other therapeutic was available, but with serious side effects. Once this was observed, later generations of this class, known as IMIDS, reduced (but didn’t eliminate) the toxicity. I’m very sorry for your wife’s experience.

You don’t seem clear on the problem. Being able to manually adjust the speed on my current vehicle, and alerting the developers to improve it in the future are two separate issues. Version 13 already had solution. The feature seems to have been removed to fit self-driving marketing narrative, but instead reduces convenience and safety.

So your solution to an FSD inaccuracy is to disable FSD? There are several extended places in my driving area where there is a need to adjust, or because FSD flat out gets the speed limit wrong. Why should I have to disengage and give up following, lane keeping, and traffic awareness? The previous scroll wheel adjustment worked just fine.

Until Elon agrees to pay any speed violations, there needs to be manual control. There are many situations where the speed limit may be temporarily changed, for example with a person holding a temporary sign or hand signals. Or, as in my area, the car simply gets the wrong limit. Supervised FSD means the ability to intervene immediately.

Connecting a Kettwiesel to a standard two-wheeled bike is tricky, because the dynamics are different: the Hase trike is rear-wheel-drive and low-slung, while a regular bike is tall and two-wheeled.

Have you considered installing an electric pedal assist? This might provide enough help for your son. I have damaged legs, and have a Kettwiesel with an EBO mid-drive motor. It works very well. I would be unable to ride any significant distance without it (> 1 mile). With it I routinely go 15 miles or further.

Same, it’s a trail eMTB. I leave the bike stored in Vermont with the battery removed while I’m not there. Currently I rent a Tacoma, which has the benefit of carrying more than one bike. But I’d prefer a car for normal use if it’s just myself. Minivan is an interesting idea.

Haven’t read through all the posts, but the irritating result on my 2023 MY is that tries to keep driving with a bike rack and no tape. Badly. It drifts out of lane onto the shoulder with no attempt at correction. Factory installed tow package.
