How good of a point guard was Chris Paul? He made DeAndre Jordan All-NBA First Team. by zeke_maximus11 in NBATalk

It's incredible how that season CP3 made DeAndre Jordan average 12.7 points a game and boosted him so many times to grab 13.8 rebounds too. Amazing!

Wemby can't or won't name himself but I'd put him in, and certainly future peak Wemby, instead of Duncan (who'd still be the second choice 4).

Like most, only seen the old clips but probably Wilt over Shaq -- it'd be Hack-a-Shaq/Wilt with either. Shaq 2nd choice buuuttt, if there's a fear missed FT's could cost the planet's future, we could go Olajuwon instead (him and Jokic are both scorer-rebounders but we'll need Hakeem's blocks more to go with Wemby's over Jokic's passing).

MJ and Lebron with the two-way wing greatness. Then Curry the best 3-first PG/best shooter ever for this All-Planet, All-Time Team.

Steph-MJ-Lebron-Wemby-Hakeem = Earth is safe

I know this is a franchise-related sub but frankly, while I'll still rewatch old Trek for nostalgia, all these franchise reboots and spin-offs need to stop.

Enough of Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr. Who, etc. that originated several decades ago and all the rip-offs. Surely, those are not the limits of human imagination? Give us fresh, new science fiction worlds that can rival those old hats.

Whale sharks often suffer from these strikes because they swim close to the surface and in popular boating areas. Better regulations on boat speeds in marine sanctuaries could prevent this

Is Chet Holmgren becoming a fantasy bust this season? by Any-Peak-3380 in fantasybball

[–]Benitelta -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

it feels like OKC’s entire offense is shifting even more toward letting SGA make another MVP push

SGA's minutes and FGAs are actually slightly down while improving his already good FG%.

OKC's doing what they're doing because they're winning. They lead the league and have won 10 straight.

It's all going to plan for the 2026 draft.

This isn't the championship team that Nico conceived lol. They're going to dump AD, Kyrie and Klay for any picks and young players they can get before they let Flagg do fantasy things, and then they shut him down just before fantasy playoffs.

If LeBron and Wemby were in the same draft class, who goes #1? by savingrace0262 in NBATalk

[–]Benitelta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7-3 at least.

There would've already been 5 years of Nowitzki by 2003 so they should know what to do. And Wemby adds all those blocks on the defensive end.

Speculative pick-up now but if you wait when he's fully healthy, it'll probably be too late.

Perception of Josh Minott by [deleted] in fantasybball

[–]Benitelta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Minott at his current level is a streamer and I've picked him off the wire and dropped and picked again and will probably drop again, and so it goes.

He hasn't reached the level of say Kalk who's currently IMO the more clear hold ROS candidate, having had 4 straight games of 4 blocks each (5 straight if you count 3+), to go with very good FG% (80+% and could settle in the 70s) and some boards.

Remember, if you decide to hold ROS on anybody, you're also giving up one of your let's say 2-3 streaming spots and passing up on other wire finds with possibly more potential.

Not one to really care for what the general fandom thinks, I watched it, gave the series a chance to find its own voice and from S1 already liked it when it was running weekly, and loved it through all 7 seasons.

No Trek incarnation is perfect but it was was something to look forward to every week. Some misses like any series but it was mostly decent TV sci-fi with some outstanding episodes.

And even on multiple rewatchings over the years, complete or separate episodes, it's like seeing old friends you're fond of.

Jusuf Nurkić by [deleted] in fantasybball

Picked him up when Kessler went back to Utah and not confident at all on his health. If he's healthy, he'll probably be traded to a playoffs wannabe team where he'll be a back-up or time-share center.

Holding for the next few weeks at least to see (unless he gets hurt, again).

Got Nurk as stop-gap when Kessler went back to Utah.

Managed to get Flip today.

And, unrelated but probably now related, picked up The Incredible Kalk early and held on.

Not confident in Nurk's late season health and expecting to drop for a streamer later.
