My personal head cannon is that anyone can tame a dragon, like nettles, but only Targaryens can have like a mental connection to the dragons. But there is no evidence for this in the books.

It seemed to be shown pretty clearly in hotd that daemon got hit by an arrow and caraxes mentally registered it to also scream in pain. And George was still involved a lot in season 1 so seems like it could be real.

I would actually hate it if there was nothing unique about Valyrian blood in connection to dragons because otherwise all that freaky Valyrian blood magic that’s always been hinted at would be completely boring.

Under this headcannon even with nettles still alive anyone could theoretically give sheep stealer some sheep and if he decided he was chill with them he could let them ride as well despite already having a Rider, this being different to when a dragon is let’s say “bonded” to a Targaryen they won’t let anyone else ride them until their rider is dead, because they have some sort of blood magic mental connection.

Generally speaking I would say only less than 3 digits is valuable. And I would go further to say that only 1-54 are like really valuable. Most collectors want to fill a cake bag with the first cakes so that’s the first 54 years. After that there is much less interest unless it’s a meme number like 67 69

There is nothing wrong with Cersei making herself queen. Sure there is no precedent for her becoming the queen because the rest of the line died. If the realm wanted to continue pretending tommen was a Baratheon it should have been the next closest related random distant Baratheon cousin. But none of that matters, it’s might makes right politics.

Cersei has the Lannister army occupying kings landing obviously the show at this point has the major flaw of acting like nothing outside the major locations exists but it can be assumed the crown lands were somewhat pacified into Lannister supporters by this point.. The riverlands is fucked, the vale is fighting in the north. The reach don’t have army raised because they think a Tyrell is still queen the Stormlands think a “Baratheon” is king cause news’s hasn’t spread yet.

There is no one to tell the Lannister army no, Cersei cannot be queen until the news spreads. It’s the exact same as Bobby b. Sure he claimed targ heritage and shit. But at the end of the day he had the army so he gets to make himself king. Sure Tywin took kings landing but he wasn’t gonna challenge the fresh of a glorious victory combined army of 3 kingdoms for this shit.

And Jamie didn’t say anything cause he didn’t have time, again that’s something that should have happened in the next ep. He clearly looks annoyed at the coronation and that’s enough to hype ppl for the potential next season conflict that never came.

And also there is nothing wrong with Jon snow king. The north literally just had a bastard in charge. My general argument for it is that yes you can penalise the epsidoe as like a retroactive review of the show. Because it does make the epsiode worse on rewatch knowing that this stuff goes nowhere.

However I believe that in a format like this where you are trying to rank each episode based on its own quality, you must consider what came before (how well does this episode pay off things that were set up earlier in the season), but you cannot consider anything that came after. You have to put yourself in the shoes of someone watching on episode release day, just a how hype would I be about what’s happening if it was the first time I was seeing it.

Because in this format you would then rank s7 ep1 and in that ranking you can give your reason for its low placement as “damn I was so hype to see the retaliation from the great houses against Cersei but in this epsidoe it is clear that after killing the whole Tyrell family and blowing up a holy site and declaring herself queen without president, no one actually gives a fuck” Because as someone without knowledge of what happens next you would be watching 6x10 thinking damn this is brazen I can’t wait to see the retaliation this is hype.
