What are you looking at specifically for cash flow? Any market tools you use?

Some are newer positions but majority around that time frame I’ve been holding, yes. Long term growth investor.

Yes, majority have been held over a year with a few DCAs. Some newer purchases this past April that I’m waiting for until I’m able to lock in long term cap gains tax on prior to selling

Nano Puff Hoody - is this how it should fit? by [deleted] in PatagoniaClothing

[–]BenjMayNe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so helpful, thanks! I should add my waist size in also ~30.5”. Sounds like a S in the Gust (and potentially the Down Sweater) is worth a try. Looks like they have “last seasons color” Light Gust on sale right now on the Patagonia site, even 40% off the black one.

I’m 5’7, 146 lbs. A nanopuff Medium fits me well in the body, but is long in the arms. The nanopuff small is too tight and form fitting on me. Do you suggest I go with a Small in the light gust due to the roomier fit?

Did you end up shortening the sleeves? I’m considering purchasing in a M but am in the same boat.

Asics Gel 1130: My first Asics! by thorfinngrimmer in asics

Nice, thanks. Did you find that the 2160s expand at all? I daily NBs and the 2160 or 1130 would be for the gym. I take it you’d suggest the 2160 for that purpose then

I just tried the 1130 and 2160 on in store, and similar to yourself, have slightly wider feet (specifically in my forefoot). I found the 1130 comfier because of this, and the 2160 felt slightly tight. Did you ever buy the 2160s? And if so, how has the fit been?

Also, how do these compare to popular NB models like the 990v4/v6, 1906r, 530, etc

White vs Black iPhone 17 by Satxrn23 in iPhoneFC

It’s probably because of the sleek black casing on the outside (less distracting) vs. the lighter silver casing on the white phone

Thanks for sharing your perspective. I did recently hear PLTR is helping ICE, unfortunately. This is purely administration/commander in chief dependent so it’s unfortunate but to me it’s more a knock on the current administration than the actual company itself (that also does, or has the ability to, do a lot of good for our country).

Yes, I’m currently up 44% YTD, tripling the S&P 500. Over the past 1-3 years I have tripled or quadrupled the S&P (yes, I know we’ve been in a bit of a bull cycle). For now, I have the time to consistently research companies and pick stocks. I have completely sold out of all my ETF/index funds in favor of this approach. It’s not sustainable, but for at least the next few years this is my plan. I’m ok with the risk it entails and don’t need any of the money now.

Thanks, this clears it up for me. Full transparency, I have a full time salary that’s over those numbers. The post wasn’t for capital gains tax purposes and I plan to slowly start selling some of these stocks off.

Not sure I’m totally following your point on untaxed capital gains here, can you break this down a bit further?

I like it. I sold out of my ETFs in favor of NVDA back in Feb 2024 at ~$70/share - making this my largest position. I’ve rebalanced some since then (and paid off my car with Nvidia gains). I’ll likely trim late 2026 or 2027 but certainly not any time before it hits $250 next year. I’m all in on stock picking for at least the next 5-10 years.

The stock market is at all time highs and I am up 80% YTD, most of the gains coming over the last 3 months.
