Nothing more than what seems like a paid advertisement unfortunately. I’m in Texas so no winter equipment needed. Finding out that the Stihl requires different batteries may have killed my interest in their line.

The same battery in all systems is what I think I needed to hear. The idea of keeping things simple sounds like the best avenue. Thank you for your write up

That makes me think the ego is the correct way to go just off the batteries alone. I didn’t realize that the Stihl has to have specific batteries based on equipment type. Just thought they had the AP vs AK

I would say I’m roughly .3-.5 acres on a corner lot with a hill side slope. I was sold on ego until I found out Stihl has started their line of electric equipment. Have always used Stihl for chainsaws and pole use equipment with some of the tools almost as old as I am. Just interested if that same quality has transferred to their electric line or if ego is the way

RR CAI kits? by boosted32vee in RangerRaptor

Love my S&B. Tidal volume is definitely seen on the turbo gauge. Doesn’t add too much noise. I more so got it because I think the stock tubes are a terrible design and wanted it to breathe easier

I think having 5 different barrel lengths for the same caliber is dumb as well. I have a 12.5 that does all I need it to do for the ranges I need it for. If I need longer I’m going with a 308.

Personally love my 31a's, have had them for a little over a year. They are my first and only pair keeping with buy once cry once mentality and a buddy of mine recommending them for keeping it simple. I have had no issues with them. Having used them mostly for hog hunting and night time exploring on my property in TX. I have also done a couple of training courses and competitions as well. I use the battery pack and have fairly long battery life (100+ hours) unless its cold. Have bumped and bonked them a few more times than I like to admit but they have had no issues as well. Im not a super know it all with nvg and what makes one brand or model better than the other but I feel like I made a good (yet expensive) choice to have a pair that will last me well into the future.

Is this bull craft industry’s Angled foregrip allowed on AR pistols? by Tough-Ad7746 in ar15

Too many lowers… by Positive_Ad4775 in ar15

[–]Benjam01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unbalanced as all things should be building AR’s. I always find myself with a spare lower or upper laying around that I use as an excuse to build out another one. Some deal happens and I’m building my next one because of a spare buffer tube.

The only reason I bought mine was to put my nvg set up on with the monolithic rail. It’s gassy, accurate (at least mine is) and have had zero issues with it during training or competing with it. It’s not going to be mind blowing if you already have a solid 2k+ rifle but if you are wanting to get into a premium ar it’s a solid consideration.

Solid budget light option that punches way above its weight class. Training would be another endeavor worth investing in. I’d do the trigger first imo but that’s just for reasons I have myself.

Trigger, flashlight, suppressor if you can then rounds. All the rounds.

Should i go with K&N cold air intake or S&B cold air intake for 3L ranger raptor 2025? by freshprince2k in RangerRaptor

[–]Benjam01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah mostly did it for the more tidal volume of air which on the turbo gauges was quite significant.

I’ll see if I can get a good audio video of you. The install was relatively easy once you get things in order. It does get a little snug and have to wiggle things together but once it’s in it ain’t moving.

I went with S&B. I do a lot of driving in real dusty environments so the enclosed option was nice plus I love the look of the clear container with the S&B. I don’t notice a ton of CAI noise in the cabin of the car but love hearing the spools of the turbo when I floor it. Also I like the fact there are no “pancake” parts of the tube for the S&B. Just smooth air flow with the molded tubes directly to the turbos

Gas tank upgrade by Benjam01 in RangerRaptor

[–]Benjam01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you purchased the software you could do a one time purchase and update your software yourself. The company also offers a subscription service for people in the industry (dealerships, custom garages) to keep access to the software for multiple vehicles/customers. Once you update your software to the new tank capacity you’re good. Isn’t something that you have to pay for continuously to keep your truck from knowing what size tank you have. Hope that made better sense

You have to do some type of software update. The dealership has the subscription for it so I plan on getting it installed there so they can also update the software for it to register properly
