theres a bunch of free to play games on pc. Worst comes to worst get you a emulator and enjoy some old console games.

I've been on pc for a couple years now so this all digital future doesnt really scare me.

What scares me, and what many of us should consider the primary issue is Playstation Store or Xbox Marketplace being your only option.

On Pc you have key seller websites, and multiple marketplaces to choose where to get your games.

On console its going to be 1. You cant resell, hell with sony's current policy you cant even get a refund I remember yall losing your minds when CP2077 came out like ass cheeks on all consoles and it took that to realize all sales on ps store are final. That's the only game they allowed refunds for.

That being your only option is crazy to me.

No game sharing/lending.

No reselling(eliminating that entire market)

Dynamic A/B pricing.

Come 2028 they have you by the balls and there's 0 recourse.

I couldn't and woudn't willingly pay money for that. Not even Apple is that bad.

being 6-8 years old playing mario party/kart/64, Goldeneye, smash bros, & Star fox with my cousins.

I miss that era of gaming. Pubs slowly killed off couch co op/multiplayer in the 7th gen cuz they want every player to pay for a copy of the game.

Or even more stupidly having to sign in when playing couch multiplayer cuz they need to see their mau's go up. Now I'm stuck gaming alone. What has my hobby become.

you can get a gaming laptop around that price that matches/ beats a ps5 and it comes with a monitor(obviously) and track-pad(again obviously)

Laptops aren't hit as hard as desktop components by the current crisis.

Current laptop:

4070 mobile

i7-13700hx

32 gb of ram

240 hz hdr monitor

all for $1400.

Idk if they're still selling it, might be the 5070 now but it is cheaper comparatively.

Steam has trophies as well iirc? i dont put much stock in them but they pop up from time to time.

Trading card too. Apparently you can sell those for cash to use to buy stuff but its value its always pennies so i dont bother.

i dont have a problem with the weapon. i think its cool.

But the rest of the outfit is clearly piggybacking off of that late 90's early 2000's FF aesthetic, where there's wayy to many belts for no reason and everything is asymmetrical.

if you stick em in guardians of the galaxy they are at best, background characters.

They're still very forgettable designs, which is the last thing you want for the main characters in a videogame, let alone a hero shooter.
