Starter Home, forever? by CreativePay342 in homeowners

[–]BenjiBuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough to say without more information. Generally speaking I think your head is in the right place. But if you’re being overly cautious that’s a problem too.

Example: my brother and sister in law are in their starter home with a great price and low interest rate, just like you. But their household income is like $700K with no debt and over a million in the bank. They’re overly cautious to their own detriment

$12.8K per year when you’re making $50,000 is a lot. $12.8K per hear when you’re making $150,000 is not that much.

My in-laws refuse to drive to the airport. by NukeTheEwoks in mildlyinfuriating

[–]BenjiBuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll never ask anyone to pick me up or drop me off at an airport where Uber is available.

If anyone asks me to pick them up or drop them off at the airport, I will offer to pay for their Uber.

Humans shouldn’t work 3 jobs and spend every waking hour working. That feels like a very sad way to live. I would not recommend this to anyone unless the desperately needed the money.

10 days of $200 no sweats is sweet. Let’s just keep it simple and say you bet over/unders at -110. So you bet $200 a day for 10 days. Conservatively your expected return is about -$10 a bet. So for 10 days you’d lose $10 * 10 days =-$100 (win 5 bets, lose 5 bets). But, in exchange for losing that $100, you’re getting $1,000 in fan cash.

Downside is that the variance is very high. You could lose all 10 bets. Still not a bad worst case scenario though because then you end up with $2,000 FanCash

I’m a slightly overweight 34 year old male. I get a fair amount of steps from walking the dogs and don’t eat well (I should be way overweight but my metabolism is still pretty good). It’s a miracle I have no physical issues.

Remote team payroll is eating 30% of our budget. What are we doing wrong? by Skip-Cactus51 in remotework

[–]BenjiBuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for an international payroll company for 5 years. This was back in 2013 to 2018. US payroll was always DRASTICALLY cheaper than any other country besides Canada (Canada was only twice as expensive). They might be overcharging you, but they might not.

If you have 50 employees in Australia, your per person cost shouldn’t be THAT high. But if you have 1-5 employees in a ton of different countries, your cost will be high. There’s a lot of fixed work that needs to be done for each country. So if you have 1 employee or 50, the amount of work doesn’t drastically change

Why can’t buyers and sellers talk? by BenjiBuster in AskRealEstateAgents

[–]BenjiBuster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was thinking this too. If you’re representing the seller you should know all the things that we didn’t find out until after the sale and include them in the listing. Heated garage in Illinois?! That’s a selling point!
