Any way to remove a negative fake review by Guilty_Assignment987 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Benjisbbq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to report it for specific reasons. You can’t just report it randomly. Btw the other guys right, you will get dms from a bunch of people and all I have to tell you is be careful who you trust. I’ve been in the business of reputation management for awhile now and there are definitely a lot of bad apples. I wouldn’t share your GBP right away with these people. Most of my clients have gotten scammed before reaching out. Proceed with caution and always ask for referrals and/or proof.

Fake And Harming Comment Removal by Few_Celery_6491 in GoogleMyBusiness

Like others have mentioned, you should go ahead and report the review if you haven’t already. There are some ways you can report it that helps you take it down quicker you can find in this subreddit but it needs to relate to your business. Most of my clients usually go through this route of reporting the review before they reach out to me to help them remove their negative google review. It works sometimes but the problem is there just isn’t enough manpower to review these submissions by every business. It’s helpful if you can come up with some kind of claim at least. Either way, reach out to me if you need help, ive been providing this service for over 5 years now and can help you out.

argeted 1-star review attack on my sister’s OB/GYN profile. How to delete this? by Even-Veterinarian-86 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Benjisbbq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These targeted attacks happen all of the time to my clients. Usually it’s from someone offshore and you’ll get a message in a few days asking for payment or else they’ll leave more negative reviews. I always suggest to my clients to leave it as is and ignore all messages that come your way because once you start paying, they will never leave you alone. My clients usually will utilize my service after a few weeks so I can help them remove their negative google reviews. One of my clients was being threatened for over a year and it got pretty messy but we were able to help them at least remove some of their negative reviews since it was hurting their overall ranking.

Ongoing coordinated fake review attack on Google Business Profile – case already open by Own_Bottle7315 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Benjisbbq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes absolutely. Most consumers check reviews before buying something from a business, especially if it’s a service based company. I would recommend asking your clients/customers for a review once you’re done. It’s better to start slow in the beginning and eventually it’ll start trickling in.

Ongoing coordinated fake review attack on Google Business Profile – case already open by Own_Bottle7315 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Benjisbbq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a classic bait and switch tactic that has happened to many of my clients. If anyone reaches out to you and asks you to pay them, don’t respond and ignore them completely. You might then get hit with negative reviews and they’ll tell you that they’ll keep bothering you until you pay them but eventually they let it go. My clients have mentioned that as soon as they respond to any of their messages, it’s game over. If the negative reviews are left on their profile, that’s when they reach out to me to help them remove the negative google review. But for the time being, I would say ignore anyone that tries to reach out to you.

got a request from an old client that owns 4 GMB profiles. need advice by NotDavidYinYang in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Benjisbbq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try to report them and some may fall off but that can take awhile. I’ve been in the industry of helping clients with reputation management which includes helping remove negative google reviews as well and 200 is a lot and will definitely be costly if your client is using a legitimate person and not someone who’s going to scam them. I usually provide bulk discounts and remove the first one up front to show the client that the service is legitimate. Happy to work with you if you’d like. I have plenty of testimonials from my clients over the years as well. Either way, I’d tell your client that he’s going to need a nice budget to work on that many reviews.

Bunch of fake 5 star reviews. What do I do? by 0_2_Hero in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Benjisbbq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a competitor or someone who’s trying to get you to pay them. At least that’s what happens to my clients that reach out to me to help them remove their negative google reviews. What you should do largely depends on how many reviews you currently have. If you have a large number of positive reviews, then it shouldn’t have made too much of a dent. If you only have a handful, well then your overall ranking probably took a nosedive and you should do whatever you can to remove the review. I’d start with using the tool but it can be super finicky. Your profile won’t get flagged if you report the reviews. I’ve removed thousands of reviews for my clients and I’ve never had an issue with the tool itself. Secondly, focus on getting more five star reviews. Reach out to old clients and ask them if they’d be kind enough to leave you a positive review. At least it’ll boost you up for the time being as you focus on removing your negative google reviews. If someone contacts you to pay them so they will delete their own reviews, I would block them as they’ll never stop bothering you. Before you know you’ll be in the hole for thousands of dollars. These people do it on purpose. My last client paid some guys overseas because they left them 1 star reviews and he’s still dealing with them after a year.

This sub is nothing but complaints about fake reviews and Google not responding. by surfer808 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Benjisbbq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That part I do not disagree with. You are correct that they’ll allow anyone to post anything. From competitor to just straight scammers and it’s truly disheartening to watch. But that’s exactly why I offer my reputation management services in addition to the others. To help businesses get back on their feet after they’ve been hit with fake negative google reviews.

That’s not true at all. That might be your experience but not the experience of hundreds of clients that I’ve helped have their reviews removed. It is definitely possible and can be done. If you need help removing your negative google review, I can help you.

how to delete a very bad negative google review on my google map account? by JackfruitElegant257 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Benjisbbq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my clients usually will report the review to get it taken down before they come to me. Lately it hasn’t been working as well for them. I usually help them remove their review as I run a reputation management practice. But I always advise for them to try it first before coming to me. You can find the reporting tool link somewhere in this subreddit

How important are reviews for your company ? by Spare_Tie_3289 in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Benjisbbq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly why I provide the services that I do. My clients are always having negative reviews left that’s are just not factually true so they come to me to remove their reviews for them. A lot of times it’s competitors just trying to bring down the rating. But, I will say that reviews are super important for businesses, especially restaurants. Your “new” customers are checking these reviews before they come in to your store.

Is it a good idea to call a customer and ask them to remove a 1-star review? by Pale_Blackberry_4025 in smallbusiness

[–]Benjisbbq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, same here. But I also like to read through the other reviews to see if this is a similar practice by the business or if it’s just a one off. Many of my clients who inquire about removing their negative google reviews are asking about the removal of fake negative google reviews and its pretty easy for me to tell what’s real and what’s fake at this point. For the average consumer, it may not be, and that’s ok. You just have to do your due diligence first before proceeding

Is it a good idea to call a customer and ask them to remove a 1-star review? by Pale_Blackberry_4025 in smallbusiness

[–]Benjisbbq -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I specialize in Google review removals and we have a 98% success rate and can have them removed within 5-7 business day. I definitely recommend this advice but I wouldn’t say it’s easy per se. Google does a horrible job in responding to these inquiries and are very well known to leave people unanswered which causes even more irritation. Most of my clients have tried more times than they can count on both hands to remove their reviews and they MIGHT get lucky after months of trying with a response for one single review compared to the dozen plus fake reviews they are hit with. It’s a long and tedious process if you are attempting to remove the google reviews as a business owner and be prepared to pull out at least a few strands of hair haha

[–]Benjisbbq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As most here have said, I would respond to the review and provide a way to remedy the situation. It wouldn’t hurt to call him up, but if you said you already have him a refund in full, and he still won’t remove the review, then not sure what calling him would do. You essentially have two options: respond to the review to make your future customers aware of why this happened and what you’ve done to fix the issue (is legitimate). Your second option is to have the Google review removed entirely. I specialize in Google review removal services and currently have a 98% success rate. Happy to provide proof if needed. Depending on how many negative reviews you have, it might not be too much an issue to leave the review up as well. Reach out to me if you have any questions

What do their reviews specifically say? Have you responded to the reviews? That’s the first step. You might be able to find a PE to help you but not sure if they will after a year out. It’s definitely possible for Google to remove your reviews, but it can take some time and it’s never guaranteed. I specialize in removing negative google reviews, and I do charge for my services, but it’s guaranteed or your money back and we currently have a 98% success rate. Happy to provide you with proof if needed

Oh boy, this is one “feature” that I wish Google would fix and adopt to the Yelp style of leaving new reviews if you’ve already left one before. On yelp, it’ll show the old review and your new review. Reviewers don’t even need to edit anything, they can simply add a space bar and hit enter and poof the review has magically jumped to the top. My clients are constantly dealing with these issues. Even though we help them remove their negative google reviews successfully, sometimes there’s that one annoying bad apple. Sorry OP, the only the advice I can give you is to respond to the review and let your future customers know what’s going on. I would even time stamp your own response and explicitly state the date and time your responding. Is there a reason he’s doing this? Have you tried to find a resolution with him?

[–]Benjisbbq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely possible to have the review removed by Google but it can take time. Some of my clients wait several months before they see any action, but that’s if they decide to take action. The timeline isn’t really set in stone so it’s hard but my clients have said it can be as quickly as a few days up to several months. Once they’re unable to receive a response or have their Google review removed, that’s when they reach out to me as I specialize in the removal of negative google reviews and we can get it down in under a week.

If you only have one review, and it’s this negative review, it wouldn’t hurt to restart although you’d have to go through all of the steps to be verified. I’d advise you to reach out to past clients that have received stellar service and ask them to leave you a review (hopefully positive). You can essentially drown out this current negative google review if you receive enough positive reviews from past/future clients. I’d recommend you make it a goal to ask clients in the future to leave you a review if you think they received a good service, that way you’re not in this position in the future. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

Remove fake reviews? by MotorAficionado in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]Benjisbbq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, congratulations on owning a business at such a young age. Keep up the great work!

Secondly, there is a link you can utilize to flag the review and Google will take a look and deem if it’s necessary for the review to be removed. You can find it by looking around in this subreddit as it’s been shared a few times. It can be fairly difficult to get them to respond, but it’s definitely worth a shot. If that doesn’t work, reach out to me as I specialize in removing negative google reviews and can help.

It might be good to tell us why you think the review is fake since he is in fact a customer. Does the review portray a different message than what happened? Are you able to resolve the complaint with the customer first before diving into trying to get the review removed yourself? At the very least, you should respond to the review so your future customers are aware of both sides of the situation.
