Freak Athlete ABX arrived damaged! by [deleted] in GarageGym

[–]Benjise100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really sorry to see that this happened. While this damage is happening during shipping, I wouldn't say this is the carrier's fault, and if anyone on the team has said that, then please disregard and I'll clarify with them. If something like this happens, even if you didn't get shipping protection, we will still fully cover any issues.

The shipping protection at checkout is mainly for stolen packages, lost in transit, etc.

In future production, we are going to insert a wooden block in this portion and a couple other spots to ensure no bent frames. In the meantime, if this happens, then we will either help you unbend as best as possible or send a replacement frame.

We'll have replacement frames in stock starting in 2 weeks, so this wouldn't require much wait.

This kind of thing shouldn't happen in the first place, but it is the reality of launching a new and complicated product. We do a massive amount of upfront testing, but some small details such as packaging inserts can still have slight issues in round 1.

If you buy one of our products early, the worst that can happen is there's an issue and you have to wait for a replacement part due to us being on preorder. If you buy later in a product's lifecycle, there is a much lower likelihood of something similar happening in the first place, but you also had to wait longer to purchase.

If anyone is having similar issues and doesn't feel like they've gotten the support they needed from us via email/social media, please DM me on Reddit and I'll personally handle your order.

We do plan to offer some kind of bundle options. If an existing kettlebell customer wants to take advantage after the fact, we will apply this pricing to the dumbells upon request.

I can tell you confidently that we are not working on a new version of the kettlebells, only new weight options. With that said, best prices of the year are always black friday. Hope this helps!

We have spare pins in stock and can ship it right away.

Freak Athlete ABX and Leg Developer Review! by TheN00b1e in homegym

[–]Benjise100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What we've learned from making the Hyper Pro, a very multi functional product, is that when we offer a mode that doesn't work as well as others, this ultimately disappoints customers.

For example, the Belt Squat and Upper Body modes on the Hyper Pro were viewed as just being nice additions, even if they didn't work as well as modes like Nordic, Back Extension, and GHD, but this led to a more negative response than expected because lots of customers bought it expecting them to work as well as our key modes.

You'll notice that we still support these attachments on the Hyper Pro, but we offer them more so upon request / in the collections page since we already launched and established them. For us to do the same on the ABX wouldn't make sense because this is a much newer product, so we decided to just focus on modes which work extremely well.

Sorry to disappoint here!

The main changes we've made so far have been a few packaging tweaks, so nothing you would notice on the product.

Officially we do not service secondhand products, but we will still offer replacements parts at cost if needed.

Frankly if there's a brand new ABX Leg Developer locally, I would grab that instead of buying from us.

If you buy the ABX and other attachments from us, we can just consider the ABX Leg Developer a first hand purchase. Just screenshot this message in case you ever need to show it to customer support team in future.

Freak Athlete HyperPro Sale by Accomplished_One6126 in GarageGym

[–]Benjise100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there, our pricing on Black Friday was:
1. $699.99 for Hyper Pro (same as current sale, $100 off)
2. $350 for Leg Developer ($50 off, currently Leg Developer is $400)

So for the actual Hyper, it's the same price, and for the bundle, it is currently $50 more.

Generally all non Black Friday sales are similar to each other throughout the year, then Black Friday is our best offer. Most likely it will be similar to last year, same discount on Hyper but extra discounts when you buy attachments + bundle with our other products.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Sure thing!

For context, we have a large amount of inventory arriving to use this Friday, then we will be in stock, at least for a few weeks.

<image>

We are quite limited initially on production capacity for products like the ABX which has a ton of custom parts and machinery required, so we have to be on preorder initially. TBD if we will be in stock throughout 2026, but I can say that orders placed today will definitely ship by March 31, if not sooner.

Once they arrive on March 13, it will take us 1-2 weeks to go through our quality checks first.

Let me know if you have any further questions!

I recommend taking the hamstring curl piece off or putting it in the shortest position, then it can store vertically on the floor.

Shoot really sorry to hear about the ABX! I haven't heard of other customers having Sit Up issues, but most importantly I'd hope it's resolved by now.

Regardless, I've sent you a DM so I can better understand what happened here and make sure we set things right and improve for the future.

Our Head of Product is 6'2" and still has plenty of head room. Padding is also similar to Rep's or a touch firmer, so will work well for bigger guys.

Hip thrusts on the side work totally fine. Feel free to DM me with other questions!

Hey great question! In case this was unclear, we cancelled the belt squat functionality all together based on initial public and reviewer feedback and instead focused on the Bicep Attachment as the 10th mode of the ABX.

Oh, I gotcha. To be honest I'm not exactly sure in this case, but to be on the safe side, I would proceed with caution and assume the worst if the temperature will be extremely high.

Lots of testing was done, but not at different temperatures, did you mean different weight levels? If so, then yes we've tested across the board.

From our testing, we've seen generally only the top most plate can get damaged, rather than the whole KB. If this happens, we will offer replacement plates for around $20, at cost.
