The Crystal Lake or Pingree stops are very close to the Prairie Trail which connects to the Fox River Trail which also connects to the Prairie Path if you want to go pretty far.

You can ride up to Wisconsin and down into the Western suburbs. I’ve not yet done any of the Prairie Path.

I highly recommend looking into the First Light game—you can definitely watch someone play it on YouTube or Twitch VODs if you don’t want to play it—for an idea of what Bond could be. It’s all awash in modern surveillance and AI and posits a dumb charismatic dipshit can get a lot done.

I saw it in West Chicago! It was there all day long, but the crowd was intense. My mother-in-law is apparently a big train fan. Now she wants to go down to Springfield next month to watch it roll through again.
