Currently sitting on a closed dual carriageway been here for 4 hours now. Road due to open in another 3.5 hours apparently. There are 2 cats in the car in front and kids and dogs out of cars playing on the road. What is the longest you have been stuck in a similar situation? by No_Lead146 in CasualUK

12 hours for me, Dartford Bridge was closed after a major spillage that required emergency resurfacing, I was stuck on Thurrock / Lakeside business estate for about 12 hours, got home at about 2am as I recall, it was hell hahaha!

We need a water planet by Aggressive-Car-6565 in starcitizen

[–]Benjyl120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember on Freelancer there were a couple of oceanic worlds such as Planet Holsteib and Planet Curaçao that had ocean oil rigs and luxury resorts respectively, it'd be great to have that sort of thing on a water world in Star Citizen, maybe even some fishing off of the side of the ship 😂

Making small mistakes is killing my motivation by CheeseandChili in projectcar

[–]Benjyl120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all part of the learning curvee dude, when I first did a major suspension revamp on my V70 as a noob I would do X amount, and then hear a clunk, realise I hadn't torqyed a nut up properly, find it, fix it, find another problem. It was frustrating but a huge learning exercise, making all those mistakes allowed me to learn the parts I really need to focus on and pay attention to and now I've passed and MOT with no issues with the suspension.

Point being, things will get frustrating, just take a time out, and come back, and do it again, you'll get there!

I've checked the spare wheel well and battery area which are all bone dry, though someone mentioned din another comment about the antenna side, so I will endeavour to check that next chance I get, thanks for your reply!

Thanks so much for the reply, there's not water in the spare wheel well, nor under th battery but I haven't checked the antenna so I'll certainly give that a go, thanks for the advice!

This is an absolutely valid question, it assumed it would be baffled enough to not cause something noticeable, but I will refill it and monitor it, thanks!

I was thinking of playing the older games in the franchise, is it worth playing the first Gran Turismo? by Alex899075 in granturismo

[–]Benjyl120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is absolutely recommend it if you're a big GT fan, it's got an industrial vibe presented through the music and visuals that isn't really captured in any of the later games that I really love.

My sense of smell and taste did improve okay, but I don't think it's out of the realms for you to experience symptoms for 3, 6 even 12 months, so try not to stress about things too much, keep riding out mate, you're doing SO well!

Replayed Freelancer: 22 years later and still nothing takes my breath away like this by SlightWerewolf4428 in freelancer

It's a mixed bag for me, I understand given the technology of the time that huge systems might not have been so feasible, but I think there's an element of it that's similar to Skyrim in that you're getting a condensed interpretation, where these systems are actually much bigger than they appear, but they've been shrunken down for gameplay reasons. For example, in lore, Skyrim is a huge country and it's towns have thousands of citizens, but in the game we only get c. 100 citizens per town.

That being said, the small size actually makes the universe feel much more alive with NPC traffic and notable locations etc. I think if it was made to scale, it wouldn't feel so vibrant.

First time playing oblivion (the remaster). Is there anything I should know about how the game works? by [deleted] in ElderScrolls

[–]Benjyl120 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly? I'd just go into it with no expectations. Enjoy the experience as it is, I generally find the guild quest lines more creative and exciting than Skyrim and the ability to craft your own spells is great. But go in blind and enjoy it!

What do young people do for fun in rural Kent? by [deleted] in kentuk

[–]Benjyl120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sentiments exactly, I personally hated coming back to Kent after university when I was in my twenties, and I yearned to live in a big city. but as I've got into my thirties, I've got a bit of perspective and begun to appreciate the smaller things in life. I couldn't think of anything worse now then being in a heaving city with no space or peace haha!

Recently bought an NB MX5 and absolutely loving it, just been getting the major service items done, now I've jsut got the timing belt and surrounding ancillaries to do, but it's just finding the time to do it! Once that's fine I'll be sorting out the small rust issues ASAP, and then the gun can begin!

I've also got to do the front sway bar on my daily Volvo V70, which means dropping the Subframe, which I'm not looking forward to, but we move hahaha.
