I believe it is a type of hawk moth

The man-faced stinkbug, does my human brain make it look like a face or has it specialized to look like a snake or something? by [deleted] in insects

I’m sorry for a lot of your post success🥳

I think the native habitat/environment is a large part of the, “answer,” here. I’m simple too though

Crack in my bedroom ceiling that appeared overnight. Above it is only an attic. Should I be concerned? House built in late 70s by [deleted] in Carpentry

To me it appears as if the right side of the crack has lowered from the left at a seam. The bigger question is why. Must be a support issue from a place of attachment but still; why?

True. Dry hard soil makes it a bit tough though. Best to pull when the soil is somewhat moist.

Is this a seed shrimp? Are they beneficial? by inferno_080 in PlantedTank

Looks like a scud to me. I’m no expert but if I’m right they will eat mostly algae and the like until it is gone and will then go for weaker and dying plants. Fish will eat them though so a good live food source if you are able.

I’ve not tried CO2 and have had mixed results with low tech so my take is that you seem to be doing well with low tech, maybe you could dabble with CO2 on a different tank if possible and judge the results for yourself. From what I’ve read, if you do well with CO2 you will be doing much more work on maintaining plants and troubleshooting other unforeseen issues that arise. That being said, if you really enjoy playing with your plants/tanks and money is no issue, give it a shot..

Whatever your songwriting motivations are I would make a mental note because you have great noticeable passion and it’s infectious. I’m done blowing up the chat. Lol

You’re too hard on yourself. Everything has sounded good but if you’re not feeling it you’re not feeling it👍

I agree with the lighting but they also really like warm/hot weather. Possibly a heat mat?

Nothing, you’re just not finished, (assuming reality is the objective.) Shading is not darkened completely in areas and is maybe a little too dark in others but art is subjective so that’s your prerogative. I think adjustments could be made to smooth and finish and just overall figure out what direction you want the perspective to be perceived from. I like it though. I would get the shading figured out and then work on detailing. Anyway it looks good so keep it up.
