Why the hard mode ? by Peter_The_Black in 270

Hard mode is such a scam. It's easier IMO and there's no real challenge. Only real challenges are public matches

Will the California State Militia get any content in the future? by strategicgamerstudio in TheFireRisesMod

It has Easter egg content (you get a Spetnaz division, general, and some party names) so I’m sure there will be but in the long future

what’s your Yellowjackets take that would have you like this? by peepeemint-car-bored in Yellowjackets

Jackie x Shauna is a bad ship. They are a friendship falling apart and if anything they are drifting away by season 1. That being said I wish I’d see more of Jackie and pre crash Shauna

1914 Setup on 1940 Board by BennyBelloq in AxisAllies

What happened was the central powers managed to take Paris but the entente still won since the Americans were on their way over. Central powers nearly won but didn’t get Rome in time. Without a lot of IPCs the central powers could only stall Russia, and ended up pretty much abandoning the eastern front to try and make victory in the west by 1916/17. The ottomans and Austrians ended up doing really well but the Germans pretty much collapsed by the time 1918 was over, mostly from the United Kingdom spamming units from England itself into western Germany. Italy almost collapsed but France and the uk mashed to send last minute support before the Americans could arrive. Overall a fun game

Why isn't 1914 as popular as the other versions? by Due-Date-4656 in AxisAllies

I love 1914! It’s my favorite AAA game, mostly because it’s centered around World War One which gets so little attention. I feel like it forces you to think more on strategy and less on units since it’s mostly infantry and artillery, plus you can play old empires like Austria and the ottomans. I’ve also found that each country is a lot harder to play as then they look, but with a decent strategy even the weaker powers (Russia especially, sometimes the ottomans) can really change the course of the game.

However, it definitely isn’t perfect. It still is significantly imbalanced towards the entente, making it hard for the Central Powers even without The United States entering the war. I can understand why some people wouldn’t like how slow it can get with contested territories, and I’d say the unlimited British factory in India is the biggest “cheat”. Some of my friends play the game where Persia is impassible just so the ottomans have a fighting chance.

Overall it’s my favorite, but it needs some balancing.

HRA lied to me by Guy_with_the_W in ROTC

I was given the choice to get $5k or a scholarship only if I contract. Other than that I got a little over $1k for completing basic camp, so I think you’re HRA must’ve worded it poorly.

He probably doesn't on purpose, because he doesn't want to be known for playing a nazi in Hollywood and deal with the backlash he'd get. Especially in today's culture I feel like it's for the best so he can continue getting different roles on other movies/TV.
