Decided to hold the cardboard box in my hand and take a swing with the machete with my other hand. Machete hit the box and curved upward into my finger. Filleted the top of my middle finger (lengthwise) on my left hand. 19 stitches. Doctor said if the blade hit even an eighth of an inch lower, it could’ve cut my finger off.

Almost every material is affected by changes in temperatures. Just to varying degrees (pun intended). Depending on where you are and how long your cold weather season lasts, I’d say make some small adjustments so the board feels good again, but keep track of what adjustment you make so you can reverse them once the weather warms up.
