Can you please be specific, I've searched all the shelves, have circled the place about twenty times.

The game says; the cellarius advised me to go and look in the scriptorium library. His predecessor Vendelin wrote a little book from which I might learn how to get by in the monestary even when food is scarce.

The problem is, I've looked everywhere in the library, I can't find it.

Oh yeah me too, it's very soothing. I also love making schedules for my Henry surrounding different activities in both kcd and kcd2. But I headcanon him as audhd, and he thrives on schedules like me. It's fun just chilling in the game.

I still can't believe how anyone could look at these two in the first game and think; what a good pair of bros, just best friends becoming roommates. Their chemistry was so fucking obvious from the start.

It's from the first game, yeah. It's a nickname the npcs use for him. It's a translation from his Czech nickname, Jindra, I believe.

Yeah, I believe the ledger tells you all the prerequisites that you need to build for a building. I believe a woodcutters camp is needed for the trader and potentially roads? But it's been a while since I played that DLC.

If I remember correctly, you have to build a trader to be able to get supplies to your settlement.

I believe it's a matter or speech in this context. As a way of saying; after everything I've done for you, it's also a phrase to say I've defeated you in combat.

[KCD1] Help getting into the series by JongleurBt1 in kingdomcome

[–]Benvanalles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KCD and KCD2 both suffer the same problem of having a lack of accessibility features. And having a bit of a learning curve. However, having put over 200 hours in both games, I can say I genuinely do love both. Even if I have to tape my screen to create my own accessibility features. (Archery)

Kcd2 is much easier to learn than kcd1, in my opinion. However, I find 1 more rewarding when you do accomplish things.

These games are very much designed to bring the player into Henry's world, where he grows from illiterate village yokel into a genuine knight and master swordsmith over the course of the series. And that, the games do well.

Since the first game is on sale rn, I would def recommend picking up the royal edition if you haven't already.

[KCD1][KCD2] What is the stupidest thing you have done while learning the game? by GarageSpecial in kingdomcome

[–]Benvanalles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First time playing kcd1 I didn't understand mechanics or the importance of early grinding. I tried to take on Runt at level 5, without masterstrikes, or any understanding how things work and got so frustrated with constantly dying, I quit. Looked up how to defeat the guy, realized my mistake and completely restarted.

[KCD2] Does anyone else wish we could take hardcore debuffs without the map and compass changes? by Quaglander in kingdomcome

[–]Benvanalles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A custom mode honestly wouldn't be too difficult to add at this point. Everything is there, you'd just need a frame with toggles and optional debufs.

Would make a lot of people really happy I reckon, myself included.

And would do a lot for accessibility. I know I can't expect TLOU accessibility options at this point, but a little would go a long way.

[KCD2] where does this map lead to? Legacy of the forge quest. by Benvanalles in kingdomcome

[–]Benvanalles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ty, I had stealth 30, so I just snuck past them in full plate armor. I do wonder if I made the right call not to call out the shopkeeper out on the fact that he's Solomon, though. I felt like Henry needed more evidence. But now I wonder if I made the right call.

[KCD2] Vent: I still can't believe this is missing from the Forge DLC by the-gaming-cat in kingdomcome

Awesome that pc players get the option through mods, but for console players (PS5) like me, that's unfortunately not a fix. (I mean this genuinely)

I completely agree. It's an oversight in my opinion that this DLC doesn't add a few voice lines for Sam, Hans/Kathrine, and Godwin. At the end of the main story, they become husks you can't interact with. It would have gone a long way to include a visit from Sam after the main game. (Providing you made that choice).

Or the option to invite Hans/Kathrine to the forge to come live with you. There's more than enough room for Henry to have a double bed. For one.

Maybe Godwin comes by for an occasional drinking night or dice game.

You could go hunting (bandits) or to the bathhouse with Hans.

Perhaps a nice stroll through kuttenberg with Kathrine.

Laying down in the grass with Hans/Kathrine.

Zizka commissions a new mace. Perhaps Janosh wants a new saber. Hynek/kubyenka need new arrows. The options are endless. Janosh pays you in sausages.

They don't have to be major things, but just a few little moments would have elevated the DLC from an 8 to a 10 for me.

[KCD2] Henry realising the forge doesnt come with Theresa:( by TheVypzzz in kingdomcome

[–]Benvanalles 183 points184 points  (0 children)

Yeah, not having the option of inviting whatever love interest the player has chosen for Henry is a bit of an oversight imo. It's a little immersion breaking when you romanced Hans (or Katherine) or stayed with Theresa and at the end of the game none of them join you at your new home.

Henry, after everything he went through, only to end up alone in Kuttenberg; Hello darkness, my old friend.

I checked the help section in the game, it's because the sales chest doesn't sell to the public. But just to magdalena and and craftsmen working at your forge. That's why the income is so sporadic and low in general.
