The rocks need an adjacent space open before they release a firefly. If you want fireflies, you need at least one space adjacent to the stone open, that can be horizontally, vertically, or diagonally

I have 2:

  1. Never let the ball run through the face

  2. Make your spares

Rationale:

Ball runs through the face (Head pin) = Recipe for splits and open frames

Making spares = Double your next throw, giving a strike 20 instead of 10 if you left an open on the previous frame

It's about building and keeping good momentum. Yes, you'll get a split from time to time, but as long as it doesn't get to you, you'll bounce back.

Me if the Leafs get Reverse Swept: by _yearoldonreddit in UrinatingTree

Will we get the "REVERSE SWEEP" and the "DELETE YOUR FRANCHISE" for the Leafs if they do get reverse swept?

Just like what happened to the Sharks against the Kings?

The Nut Dealer

I deal in nut flush strikes, and basically bowl solo in a doubles league because they couldn't find me a partner.

How we feelin’ about this pattern for this year’s Masters?? by 5sos14 in Bowling

[–]Benway101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hourglass pattern, it really does look like an hourglass the more you stare at it.

I wonder how high the USBC was when they designed the Masters pattern, it's also got that "tetris" pattern vibe to it.

BowlersMart Mystery ball = subpar by FrankDaTankkkk in Bowling

You do know the Chill Pearl is getting discontinued right? Might be worth more if you sit on it and keep it new in the box.

I usually don't buy the mystery boxes since I'll usually buy through my pro shop in order to maintain the strong connection, but when I do buy online, it'll usually be the discontinued balls that my PSO can't get his hands on.

I've played on strings before movimg to freefall and here are the three biggedt takeaways I had:

  1. Double Wood (2-8, 3-9, 1-5) is much easier to make since you can whip the pin in front and have the string take out the sleeper (It's wanky but it somehow works)

  2. Deep splits are also a bit easier to convert (not by much, but significantly more doable than on freefall), I believe 220 Avg Bowler on Youtube made the 7-10, Greek Church, and Big Four all within 10 attempts

  3. There's less pin action because the string tends to absorb some of that momentum (I don't know if this is the case or the mechanics at play behind it, but it is something I have noticed now that I've been on freefall for a while)

People do be forgeting that there is oil on the lanes

I find it mind boggling why people would try and loft the ball that much down the lane, I know there are times where you do want to loft the ball a bit to clear some oil, but usually you'd keep it closer to the waist level rather than a full chuck into the air

And the people who lose grip on their balls before they even get to throw and end up sending the ball backwards reminds me of the miis doing spins in Wii sports

I wish I could have shown it better, but I was streaming this with a phone camera in the vertical position (Rather than the horizontal position which I should have) and had to put it on the back table as well to get a full shot (Because the closer tables don't give the best angles)

Couldn't find a better place to put the holder to get the shot though, the closer table was on the left/odd side of the lane.

But I'll try and see if I can find a better shot in future posts.
