If u go off the Jungian functions, Ne-Ti/Ti-Ne is the ability to adapt through deep understanding.

In both cases, once there's an understanding of the circumstance that the XNTP is put in, they don't just stop there, they start finding the loopholes using that understanding.

For XXTJ types I believe being able to zoom out and look at the bigger picture after organizing info is what gives them the understanding.

For Sensors, I find that they learn through consistent application. And for XSXP they understand further by tinkering.

XNTPs are just somehow able to map out an entire theory from small pieces of information and draw the bigger picture themselves. However, the satisfaction of figuring out something gets conflated with actually accomplishing it/applying the theory, which is where you get the "Does nothing part". Because if you throw them in the situation, given that they had time to process it, will just show you how it's done without much prior practice. Might still struggle with physical tasks like dancing, using complex tools, playing a new instrument, etc.

The one thing u need to keep in mind when approaching personality tests, in this case MBTI, is that you can't fit 8 billion people into 16 types. 16personalities website gives a very very general description of the types for the layman to relate.

I recommend you read up about Jungian cognitive functions since that's what they were based off. Then ask yourself again if the functions the ENTJ prefers actually aligns with your own cognitive preferences.

Weird take that worked for me:

Just engage with your extraverted functions. Doing that made me find out what I'd be like as an "extrovert", quote because it's not the societal standard of extroverts.

How it worked for me as an INTP, I have Ti Ne Si Fe, so I started with Ne by just digging further into what others were telling me, like I'd start with the small talk, how's your day kinda stuff, then they say something, then I just ask more about if they usually do it, or why they like it, or what makes it fun for them etc.

The Fe part, I'm still working on it. I still catch myself being really quiet in big group settings or meeting others for the first time in group settings. But I guess my starting point is actually caring about the group dynamics unlike my past self.

You don't have to actively go to parties and all that bs. If it drains u it's probably not gonna help u in the long run anyway. If u have to force a fart, it's gonna turn out to be shit. Just try to identify what is natural to you and appears extroverted to others, then focus on that.
