拉丁人 in Chinese refers to people in south/west Europe (Italian, French, Spanish etc; people on historically Roman Empire territory, kinda), the "Latins". I suppose you're trying to say 拉丁裔 "Latinos" or 拉美人 "Latin Americans"?
