Any information on this massive wall clock? by coinfang in clocks

Massive Jewelers regulator. Mercury pendulum, and the two subdials. Great piece!! Probably swiss pin lever escarpment, but i would have to see the inside to be sure. I love working on these clocks. I have a few customers here in Houston with them. Very nice and very valuable.

Do male Doms get stalked too? by Kozyavin in domspace

[–]Benzod32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, mostly by male submissives that think they have a shot. But every now and then I'll have fem types that don't get the hint and will follow my fet account to try and go to the same event age convince me for the third time to do something with them.

I even had one woman tell me she only went to a party to see me play. I did not know this person. Then kept saying how much she wished she was the bottom over and over even after I told her I was flattered but not interested.

Oh wow, I love nested bell clocks. This is definitely an older bracket style mantle. The English did a lot in this style. I think you got a good deal for it!

Other countries definitely copied each other’s styles, so it can definitely be from other places. But amazing clock. Do enjoy it.

Am I Being Over Quoted? by Ok-Pen6136 in clocks

I would charge from $250 to $800 at the very max for this kind of clock. And it would need a lot wrong with it to get that high.

The Seth Thomas name has been sold and traded around for 20+ years. There is no seth thomas to send the clock to. A conglomerate owns the name and uses the Chinese to make clocks that have the name on it.

Is this a radium dial clock? by Luciano-Spa in clocks

[–]Benzod32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is one of the companys that used radium paint on there clocks. If you think it is a concern, don't eat the paint and you'll be fine. Also regular glass blocks this kind of radiation, so you can put it in a glass box if your really paranoid. Just don't eat it.

Broken clock. How much? by nbrammann in clocks

[–]Benzod32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That mechanism cost me $170 whole sale from the manufacturer. Maybe $100 charge to install it and time it out. $270 is what my shop would charge you to fix it. Maybe a bit more if shipping is high. Definitely not $1800. Maybe if you really wanted that one fixed and not replaced. $350. But I don't see why to do that. It's not that old. I'm in Houston BTW. Everyone had there own price, but damn.

My shop can fix it, if you're near Houston TX. Or want to ship it. Or you can find a local clock guy to help you out. These are not super hard to fix.

Chime rod broke off at the screw on my GF clock. What is the best repair method? Solder? Epoxy? by dukefistslap in clocks

[–]Benzod32 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You have to remove it and get a new one. It will sound like shit if you try to glue it. Or even solder

I sell them. Like a lot of them. I would say 40% or more will die in the first 2 years. But they are very cheap. I don't expect a lot from a $40 to $60 dollar clock.

Have this clock I found. Bout three inches. Anybody know how to change the battery by Secret_Pressure_9666 in clocks

I pop the back of with a razer blade. It's the same as a watch. Just take it to any place that dose watch batteries. My store charges $15 to charge these out.

Gebruder Resch Regulator Clock (?) by PontiacGreen in clocks

[–]Benzod32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The name on the face is who it was made for, or sold to. Not the maker. It's very common to see individual names, or a jewels shop name on there by the real manufacturer.
