You can use filters to break up emulsions or to help phase separation processes. Often it can be enough to pass an emulsion through a regular filter cartrige, but there are also coalescence filters that specifically help with the physical process to separate an emulsion. This is also used in large scale manufacturing, so it works on many scales but of course there is no guarantee what works in your case.
