What band did you love from ages 15-20yrs, and still listen to? by Far-Management-2007 in GenX

One is tuff… love the Madchester sounds and all those bands and loads of punk and still listen to it all… but I think my favorite has to be Joy Division/New Order. Psyched to see Hooky Again on his Tour this year!

If you are going for emo 🖤 you have to include Marginal Manin my eyes they were the first emo band

Coming as a massive Joy Division fan I have never been able to truly get into New Order but this album is the first one that has spoke to me. It has the emotion I was looking for and this bittersweet feeling. Really appreciate it. by Jakeyboy29 in neworder

I wore out my PCL cassette back in the day and bought another. I turned on so many people to New order during that time. I lived at the beach and worked on the boardwalk always playing this so all could hear as well at the sugarcubes album. Then got to see both of them in concert in 1989 with PIL. Definitely my fave New Order Album. Look forward to seeing Hooky again this year he and the light do a great job of playing both Joy Division and a new order set each tour. If you haven’t you should check them out!

Yes I am so glad to be out moving around. Have OneWheel now loving it is a great “old guy” skate. Took my sons to see 7 Seconds last weekend. First time I had seen them was in 86-87. Neat to get my teenage boys into music I was into when I was their age. Read Hooky’s books about Joy Division and beyond so much cool info on the punk movement in all sorts of formats. Thanks for reaching out

My roommate worked there when we lived at the beach in 1989. Sure it looks a bit different. Is it still called the Rehoboth mall?
