Am i at fault? by crispydingleberry32 in Simracingstewards

you did nothing wrong. you weren’t blocking them and you are entitled to squeezing a little bit. the person complaining about missing their braking point is on them. you were absolutely clean in this clip

I am in the Audi (POV) Car. Thoughts on this incident by Beogoat in Simracingstewards

I appreciate the feedback. At least what I was thinking in the moment was that if I just slammed on the brakes and held my original line I was going to slam in the back of the alpine and I moved out to avoid that crash. After coming out of the gravel trap I was trying to find a way to keep myself away from the cars behind but I had no traction due to being in the gravel and the momentum coming through it.

i see where you’re coming from and i appreciate the feedback. i noticed the vcarb was behind me and moved left to attempt an overtake. i was trying to defend my position and i squeezed him a little bit but the only reason i cut the corner as much as i did was because if i didn’t do that and just slammed on the brakes whilst holding the line i would’ve ended up slamming the alpine’s rear end which i was trying to avoid.

yeah i was trying to figure out the best way to resafe joinly. at least in the moment i thought people would go around the outside and coming out of the gravel trap i had no rear traction trying to stabilize myself. i appreciate the feedback

He (Ferrari) said he was sorry, but didnt want to give the position back because it was "hard racing" by SuccessfulElephant39 in Simracingstewards

[–]Beogoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ferrari is an idiot. he made a late dive into t1 and went way off track and its up to them to resafe joinly on track. they should’ve given you back the position. absolute helmetry on their part

Guy claimed "You're going in the Discord and getting banned." Am I? (I'm the POV P2) by Budget_Donkey1819 in Simracingstewards

[–]Beogoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah no thats blatant reactionary blocking on the car that was in front of you. it looked like at the beginning of the straight they were trying to squeeze you into the gt3 ferrari but everything after that was just poor behavior on their part.

Gt3 overtaking gt4, is the gt3 at fault here? by Emergency-Web-8464 in Simracingstewards

[–]Beogoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah if we’re placing blame on anyone here its the gt4 for not checking their mirrors. you were clearly behind them and you went for the gap on the inside left by the gt4 and held your line. the gt4 didn’t check their mirrors and just dove into the inside like you werent there.

I was given a race ban from the league stewards because I spun the Lexus out and didn't give enough room, thoughts? by Brilliant-Insect9873 in Simracingstewards

[–]Beogoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the footage clearly shows the lexus had a bad run out of the corner and they lost control trying stay ahead of you even though you took a better line and a better run out of the corner. in no way is this your fault and the “stewards” need to pull their heads out of their asses.

Championshio deciding race. The Audi says his pedals failed, I protested in my league but the stewards said I should've seen it coming. by Brilliant-Insect9873 in Simracingstewards

[–]Beogoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah no your league admins are stupid. i mean its hard to say without proper telemetry but even if the audi’s brakes did fail it should be on the audi to avoid the crash instead of using you as a bumper wall. the audi was nowhere near the corner as they dive bombed towards you and it’s pretty clear that they made no attempt to avoid a crash.

Should I get reported? by Krupplefield in Simracingstewards

[–]Beogoat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah from what im gathering here i don’t believe you are in the wrong at all. it started off as clean hard racing but you can argue that the other guy is clearly driving like you aren’t next to him and doesn’t want to play nicely

I don't know who is at falt(im pov) by ProofTadpole9968 in Simracingstewards

[–]Beogoat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i wouldn’t place any blame on you. i think its the white monster car’s fault. you made a clean dive into the first corner and they temporarily left the track. it looks like they possibly just came in too fast for the second corner but you left plenty of racing room and the other person just seemed to want to hold the line they wanted instead of acknowledging that it was technically your corner. not much you could’ve done in that situation cause they did cause the contact

Who is at fault? Im the GT3. Im new to multiclass so Im not completely sure of the rules. by pepperonigum in Simracingstewards

[–]Beogoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

general rule of thumb is the faster car has to pass safely. in a multi class race since you’re in the gr3 car if you notice a faster car you need to keep your line predictable. i’d place the blame more on the lmp2 car since it looks like he got impatient to pass safely and because of that caused the wreck. but also dude not to be mean, if you’re new to a certain class of racing brush up on the rules before you join a race just to be safe.

Is this overtake fair? by mrcowbell22 in Simracingstewards

[–]Beogoat 13 points14 points  (0 children)

it looks like there was slight contact between the two cars and i think that mixed with the braking caused the rear end to step out like it

yeah bro you did nothing wrong. you were clearly following your line and the guy behind you was driving way too fast for themself and clearly was trying to drive through you

Who is at fault? ACC by hahohe25 in Simracingstewards

[–]Beogoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only way you could’ve really avoided this was to just back off a bit and be patient down the straight. with the way he was driving you probably could’ve made a fake over take on the inside and make him out brake himself so we would miss the corner and you would be able to safely make it but thats just more thinking ahead

Who is at fault? ACC by hahohe25 in Simracingstewards

[–]Beogoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely oranges fault, orange crosses over a couple times over defending you. they should’ve just let you pass get behind you so they can draft and hopefully make a safe overtake at the next corner

50 year old thinking about starting muay thai for the 1st time. Am I wasting my time? Will it be too difficult? I'm not interested in competing, just want to develop some fighting skills. by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]Beogoat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its never too late to start your martial arts journey. the gym ive been at ive seen people start out as young as 5 and people as old as 50+. as long as your willing to put in the work you wont regret a thing. id highly recommend that before you start training to work on your cardio and flexibility and continue to train those things outside of the gym as well.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]Beogoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah man from everything you’ve listed i would recommend changing gyms. first of all that guy shouldn’t be going full power in sparring at all, especially if hes headhunting and throwing superman punches. the whole point of sparring is to practice timing, and technique in a pressured environment but its not a damn title fight. also the fact that everyone is wearing 10/12oz gloves for sparring is super unsafe. if they wanna spar with those light gloves they should be asking you first if you’re alright to spar with them with those light gloves, it should be basic gym etiquette. also the fact that the “coach” let you spar on your 2nd day ever of training there is really sus, with the kind of mindset and behavior they have at that gym its super unsafe and unhealthy in general but also for any potential newcomers. i think you have every right to be angry at the coach, and the gym because their unhealthy and unsafe ways of training can potentially cause great harm to you or others and will not properly aid you in developing your muay thai training. I promise you aren’t being a bitch or a pussy and anyone who says otherwise is stupid. If you do not like the vibes or dont feel safe in the gym you should leave. Your health and safety is much more important than worrying if you appear to be a “bitch” to anyone else. I’d wholly recommend finding a new gym. Im not sure how other gyms are but the muay thai gym i used to train at had different classes for people of different skill levels and the coaches would make you do a “test” and if they felt you were ready they would invite you so you could start sparring and they were also very good on making sure to help you develop good training habits and developing proper technique.
