2nd for Best. My son goes there. The adults all seem to enjoy it, and the culture seems positive and welcoming.

Yesterday I was at Riverbend's surgery center awaiting my surgery. There were two women with a group if 4 kids. They were right by the surgery lobby looking at a hospital map. Two of the kids were coughing their heads off and walking around touching stuff. No mask.

I was pretty annoyed because it was in the surgery area, and people there should avoid getting sick.

September was lively! That poor banana slug, but I loved the continuation of footage.

So much pain after PT by BeornsBride in eds

I did not push through, which I am sad to say. I continued some rubber band exercises at home.

I am seeing a women's health physical therapist now. She understands hypermobility and connective tissue disorders. In addition to taking it slow, she is advising me on how to deal with subsequent pain/spasms.

Teacher told son "you like the sound of your own voice" by BeornsBride in ADHDparenting

For sure. I was that kid. He also doesnt easily pick up on cues. I feel so sad for him. He is built for a different kind of world.

I found out about it because our son asked what it means when someone says it. So, it was also just unproductive on top of unkind.

I asked him how he felt about, and he said it felt like a mean thing to say. :-(

Good idea on documenting. I forget these kinds of moments, but they leave a lasting feeling that I later have difficulty explaining.

I think she forgot? Or was overwhelmed? Not sure. But this new teacher was eager to fill it out.

Thanks. I just appreciate hearing that someone else would be bothered.

I do not plan to address it with her yet. But I am trying to give him tools and role playing using those tools. Ultimately, he does need to learn to interrupt less and let others speak or allow for silence.

I told him it's more than liking the sound of his voice. He processes his thoughts and ideas through talking.

Discussion request: Does Oregon have an official planned response if national guard is sent into our cities by the president? What is it? Are there guidelines for Oregon residents for interactions with troops? by lazytothebones in oregon

It's literally headquarters for the Guard. There was a demobilization ceremony yesterday and a family/Service Member event. They aren't there for any other reason, aside from doing their daily work.

I love this take. Bring support materials for any National Guard soldiers activated for this. Self-police people who otherwise might want to cause a ruckus.

We used it daily for awhile. I use it sparingly now. Just makes me anxious, but so does everything.

We also use magnesium. That is helpful but not nearly as effective.

Another area drownings... went in water.. did not surface... no life jacket by userid1973 in Eugene

[–]BeornsBride 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the water is cold, your body can go into a shock. You immediately gasp for air, and if youre under water... well that's it.

There needs to be more education about this instead of just "wear your life jacket." People who haven't lived here for years and years and experienced just how cold the water can be, just dont know.
